sad thing is....1 barrel of crude turns into about 2 tankers of gas. There's more additives in gasoline today than ever before. Its stupid. We're paying MORE for what is LESS in a sense. I work in a lab and we test fuels and oils, so I kinda get the gist of the bullshit we truly DO NOT need.

took me 35 bucks in the van today didnt even get close to half tank i used to fill up for 40

I feel ya on that one. $20 use to put me over half in the Maz, but now it don't even come close.

Okay, listen, here is the thing. You guys need to really understand the market.

I only want to explain a couple things.

1. Oil uses the US dollar as its value.

2. Sure you can say how much the oil companies make, but you need to pay attention to PROFIT MARGIN.

3. I dunno how this affects canadians, BUT the reason out of some for why we are paying SO MUCH in gas, is because of the FED.

The FEDERAL RESERVE has CUT INTEREST RATES. Cutting interest rates is supposed to help with the housing slump and depreciate the VALUE of the dollar to help make other countries look the other way when it comes to paying off DEBT.

AS WELL, with this in hand, the GOVT. does'nt know a hoot about how to measure INLFATION.

As the dollar value decreases, the inflation is going up. As INFLATION goes up and that value DECREASES, the OIL is more VALUABLE because it is based off of a WEAK DOLLAR...

Now, that concludes todays class of basic economics!

Basically it is a Win Lose situation. They do one thing to help in one area and it ends up hurtin another.

what do you propose we do about this? wait around and do nothing until a new source of fuel is widely accepted and used? Yes, the answer is yes. While we are waiting we can do aome things to alleviate the pain of gassing up: walk, bicycle, take the bus, make biodisel, go back to school so you can get a better paying job so you can afford gas, sell your body for sex and or scientific research, sell your loseresche sperms, ummm mug pimps and drug dealers cause its at least some what ethical, make a thing that attaches to ur bumper and when you tailgate someone it attaches to their car and you can shut urs off and they pull you, sell all the useless shit in ur house (for me 90%), ummm Im stumped. Fell free to add solutions to this prob.

Maybe Doc Brown can show us how to get our vehicles to run on garbage!! Is it sad that I remember that movie.

Let's see....I live in a rural area...

Can't walk to school or work because it's a 110km and 35km drive to either one. Can't ride my bike to either one for the same reason.

Can't take a bus because there's no public transportation available.

I am in school so I can get a better paying job.

Don't want mini-mikey's running around that aren't legally mine.

Mugging drug dealers and pimps is easy.

I'd sell my body,but there's no buyers.

So basically...we're back at Problem A again.
