rant about our lifestyle
its neat to see how different forums have such different opinions on this subject. s10forum agrees almost totally with this. this forum diagrees totally and some local forums im on are mixed.
m all for meeting everyone, but this isnt singled out at any one person. you all are thinking im saying anyone who is sponsered or featured is crap and doesnt deserve it. thats totally wrong. think about those few who hound photographers and sponsers, im talking about those people. just hate to see peopel do that. i know everyone wants something for free, i work in the king industery for setting false expectations of free shit. i work for t-mobile selling cell phones, everyone think sshit is free where i work.
as for people saying im whining or jealous, you took ti totally wrong, ive never cared about mag pics, tropheys, or sponsers. personally i believe if someone wants to sponser you thats cool, but the people who go out "begging" for sponsers is what im talking about.
like i said this was not geared twords any one person or group, just a little rant to see what other peopel thought on the subject(s).
if ur mad just cuz ur truck didnt make show coverage boofreakin hoo.like mark said, the mag is a bonus, its who you meet along the way, cruisin in a mini w/ other minitruckers who feel the same way you do is what makes it so fun.ive met some of the coolest fools out there that i would have never met cuz im a minitrucker.

What if you park it and cant help but get a hard on from staring at it so much. Is it wrong that I find my truck sexy or am I just accepting it.Originally posted by JPeventsxx

One more post,,sorry,,,
What is acceptance?Magazine photoTrophy at a showAll of the above
None of these....don't be fooled,,,, If you park your ride and can't help staring at it as you walk away,,,,that's self acceptance regardles if you built it or had it built. If you are looking for others to like your ride for acceptance,,you will never be happy. Thumbs up, stares,,photos are just extra toppings on your pie of happiness.
Now go take on the day....
JP
LOL,
Your accepting your happines and your a sik mother f'er .....
Visit a local titty bar and support a single mother.
P.S.
My apologies to the single mothers out there that don't have a sponsorship or photo in a rag or do not dance at strip bar cause they have too many stretch marks...
You know, I've owned my truck now for almost 10 years and I started out just like everyone else building in my garage and dragging it and driving it daily. I got it shot for feature and wanted to redo it. I went all out and spent 6 months working with friends and aquaintances that could do things and had the skills that I didn't. Now my truck arrives at shows on a trailer...SO WHAT!!!!!! Are you gonna hate me cuz I built my truck for me? I love my truck to death and when I see you guys draggin' yours I miss that, but I'm not gonna take a chance of possibly ruining something on my truck just to show everyone that I still drag. I'm a hardcore minitrucker, always have been ,always will be. We are all doing this cuz we love it. If we all were the same there would be 300 trucks at every show that looked the same....Trailered, Dragged, hell even towed have fun with your truck...IT'S YOURS.....
yo im a firm believer in built not bought, but it all comes down to who got money and who dont. every inch of my truck i had a hand in. ive had alot of help from friends. now working for a shop ive seen that in a business you have to do some free promotion. dont get me wrong there are a bunch of mooches and cheapskates out there. its the american way. but when it comes to fools that buy prebuilt truck, its fun to catch them in various situations. #1 THE LIE-you know who built the truck or you had a hand in the building process and the new owner claims to have built it himself. #2 POINT & SHOUT-when the new owner pulls up to a show or cruise spot, point & shout "HEY! THATS_____'S TRUCK." alot of times makes new owner feel like shit.

If a sponsor is going to give me some shit im gunna put it on my truck.. if it can save me a few dolllars for something else. Then why the hell not.
And becasue my friends "the famous phil Fowler" i shouldn't talk to him.. cause he shoots freelance for mini truck ..
ooops im sure my daily isn't gettin featured and niether the dodge since its a fullsize..
Who can i blow now lol..
To many people worrying about what everyone else is doin..
And why would a mag want to fill there pages with a bunch of half done shit.. sorry but i look at a magazine i wanna see some finished project.. if they weren't what other reason would we look forword to being in a magazine..
Shit if you just want to be in a magazine start one.. or they got them "readers rides" then you will be famous to.
okay here is how it is. The people who dont get sponcered ,build there own shit, and work hard for there truck are always gonna bitch. And they people wwho get sponcers are always gona bitch about that.
The thing is the ones who build there own trucks can throw the "hey at least I built my own shit" in the other guys faces. which is 10X better than "i got a feature" or "i got a trophie".
Don't get me wrong, I love going to shows and looking at trailered straight up show trucks. But I respect the people who work there asses of learning how to do there own stuff a whole lot more.
With Mini Trucking doing all these different themes in the Mag. chick issue, import issue. Why don't you guys do a shopless issue. I have seen many trucks that are plenty feature worthy that have been built by the owner and some friends.
