i once bought two new u joints for my mustang took it to the shop where it sat for two days and when the guy finally got to it he discovered that they where fine and that oddball clunking was just loose lugnuts on the rear wheels. nothing like the humiliation of having a bunch of greesy dudes giggle at you as you drive away.

I was adjusting the valves on the mazda and forgot that I left the ratchet on the crank pulley nut. Got the valve cover back on and went to fire her up... BANG...CLANK...CLANK..CLANK... (thought I blew my motor some how) shut it off and looked at my friend that was hopping up and down holding his shin. Ratchet shredded into pieces and he caught one in the shin. just careless. Bought him a couple rounds at the bar and he forgot all about it!! LOL

I notched my 91 that had a horribly rusted frame. While i was welding it, it was burnin holes. finished it anyway and drove it for about a month and started to notice my bed saggin.. Needless to say, its back-halfed now

when i was loading one of my old trucks up on to a trailer, it would make it about halfway and get stuck. i was starting to get mad so i gave it a little gas and it slammed something on the bottom of the truck and went up onto the trailer. as i was strapping it down i noticed my torsion bar laying on the road behind the trailer. oops.

Well, not too many stupid things in my days..
Except for taking the axles down to Altons so they could take 3 days to do my bearings and seals! Turns out the guy had it on backwards!
Not much stupidity on my part except mis-wiring things here and there.. more time consuming and frustrating than humorous.
BTW, LOL, fanninator's should be about how he breaks a speedo cable everytime he gets one!
