LeDevil I am down the the NW/Bscene club idea. (theres got to be enough like minded folks around who wouldnt mind a get together) I think i just need real human interaction. A monthly BBQ were we can talk about life and our trucks nothing high pressure no major rules about what we drive and how nice our trucks have to be. Guys dont get me wrong i really love my truck and what its meant me over the years. (hence i have owned it for so darn long)

ok guys... im 27 built 3 truck now.. and i have to say there are some great people i have meet while doing the mini thing.. however.. i just moved to a new city where there are a hand full of bags around.. and im definetly with out question the lowest truck.... but the is a tonne of muscle cars here and i have to say the muscle guys are just as bad ass as the minitruckers.. older more mature .. i just quit a club uo here becuase of all the BS... literally my buddy cody and i helped install this dingle bats shaved door kit ( just the soloniods) (both cody and i have shaved doors that work every time) so when his soloniods decide to burn up.. its mine an codys fualt.. has nothign to do with the fact that his door hinges are so out to lunch so his door slouches.. anyways.. im just so sick of babysitting young guys with trucks they bougt and cant fix them selves.. im not saying everyone knows everything here.. but.. you have to know a bit.. you know bring something to the table...

anyhows.. yes as i get older i start to loose patients for the younger stupid people.. ( a good buddy of mine is 18 and GETS IT.. he knows his shit and him and i get along fine.. its the minitruckin bottom dwellers i cant stand

wow.. lol.. enough said..

I've only been in the scene since late 2006, and I have to say, in Canada, well atleast here in Ontario where it seems like the majority of the Canadian minitruckers (others typically in Alberta & BC), there is pretty much no scene up here.

We have Scrape By The Lake and the Canadian Truck Nationals each summer. Scrape is geared towards lowriders, but it ends up being a good mix of lowriders and bagged trucks, but it's only a 1 day event.

The Truck Nationals I went to for the first time last year and it SUCKED. There weren't many minis there. It was mostly old guys with old trucks and they were giving all the minitruckers a hard time and a lack of respect. Even the event staff acted like total douchebags towards us. It was a 3 day event and I was there all weekend. It rained,I got drunk, got sick and won 2nd place for lowest unassisted, but it's not a show I'd go back to again.

Up here, lowered and bagged trucks get looked upon as if we're insane. They definetly get noticed by anyone and are usually questioned for "why would you lower a truck? you live in canada. it snows here."

I don't care about the lack of a scene up here. I like to be different and drive something different. The only minitruckers I really hang out with around here are v8mazda4ever and cid and I met them both because of Bscene. So basically, Bscene is the only scene I need, cuz this is where I come to share thoughts and ideas, shoot the shit, help out other guys and just chill out.

I haven't driven a minitruck in 6 months and I'm getting the itch to buy and build another one. I just miss the feeling of cruising around in a cool little pickup truck that's totally different from the sea of Chevys,Fords and Dodges out there.

I think the "scene" died about 2001. When I joined California Cruizers (1992) I had to stand up in front of 150 people to petition the club. We were almost 200 trucks deep at the time and there was a show, run or rally every weekend (anyone remember rallies?). I held all of the positions of club office, including president for about 6yrs. When I decided to "drop out" of the scene, The club had dwindled to only 12 members. There were hardly any shows, because of the high cost of insurance here in SoCal. Without the shows and the police shuting down all of the cruize spots, there was nothing to do. I joined Fleetwood because the guys were really cool to hang out with. Wednesday nights we would go to the comedy clubs, bars, night clubs, etc. (some weeks Fri and Sat too.) No one under 21 allowed in the club at the time. Now we all have kids, wives, lives etc. A lot of the guys haven't had trucks in a while. I realized that no matter what I build, it is in the mini truck style. The lifestyle has not changed for me, but my prioritys have. Enjoy your family and enjoy your trucks. When we are old and gray, I want to tell stories to my grandkids about the crazy truck runs, slammed street scrapin' minis and my love affair with the Mazda B- series. Be proud that you are one of the few who "get it".
