I'm 25 almost 26 and still in love with the whole mini truck scene. Here's a idea that has probably been thrown out there before but what if us Northwestern s started our own club? Don't know how it would work out but I know a few of you guys are only a hour or so drive from me and to be able to hang out with someone who likes minis as much as me I'm willing to drive.

ive been into minis since the early 90s and i have yet to meet anyone near me that owns even a static dropped mini..... ive been wanting to get bagged for many years now but the cheapest i could find (even with me providing all the bags, valves, link, plates, hoses, fitting, tanks, compressors, switches, electrical fuses and relays, ect. is around $2500 for just the basic install to lay frame..... and it only gets higher if you want wheel tubs and other things done.... thats just more money then id like to spend with me providing everything needed except the knowledge on how to...

I can relate to what your saying, I' am the only mini around for a good 100 mile radius if not more. That has kinda why this is my fourth truck, I would get a ways into building them and get bored of it cause no one else got it. But I'm 27 now and I'm feeling old enough that I need to focus and get one done not half-assed.
I've felt the same way about building tuner cars. I have built some that run mid 11's but it gets old when the only competition is fart can ricer's and the spoiled kids that can't handle what their parents money bought.
kinda lost track where I was going
oh yeah, I'm just to the point now with the mazda I will build it and make it mini-truckin worthy. That's my goal, and my son wants to ride around in a bagged rig.
nothing else drop a small block into the roadster, and hot rod it up a little.

Thanks guys I truly love what this "scene" has giving me in the past. Never ending friendships (even in death) many sleepless night working on or thinking about what i could do to my truck to make it lower. And when i did fall asleep dreaming about it. And looking forward to when i see my buddy to show off what i had done and what he had done to his truck. These our the thing that i miss about the past Dont get me wrong i love to update what i have done to the truck big or small on here and looking at everyones posts to see what you have all done to your trucks. I guess i miss the in person side of it I only get so much out of the internet thing kinda like real sex and internet sex not quit the same (so I have heard) LOL I think a NW club of like minded mazda owners would rock even if it meeting once a month for a BBQ i would love to do it.
Maztang (Ryan) cant make that move My wife and I have great jobs but thanks for the offer The one thing I have had since 93' was the mazda that was 2 wives ago!!!LOL

i turn 39 in 3 days.... i still love my mini ( right now gas prices are a big part of that!!! ) and if i could drive a full size quad cab dually for what i spend in gas in my Mazda...I would do it but that doesnt make me no longer a minitrucker. regardless of what you drive so long as you are still in a truck...minitruckers stretch beyond just the minis....i think that is prolly because 90% of us started with minis! Get yourself that old Ford, slap in a Nova clip, 350 and lay it out! You will still be a minitrucker but you will find yourself better suited to fit in with the hot rodders. I am fortunate...there are a good number of us here in town...considering its not the biggest city in the world. but i cant stand putting gas in anything other than a 4cyl!!! i watch the gas gauge more than the road! lol

Ya know me being "new" to mini trucks i guess theres isnt a soul in my town that has even seen a lowered truck, theres a few Ricey rides wandering around, a few that have potential to be nice imports, I myself am just into the whole modification thing. I cant leave anything alone..lol Im 35 i have a wife and kids. I ride a Haro F1 bike around town with most of the adults going WTF...and kids thinking i have the coolest bike..lol Im far from being the normal person in my town, my friends are all into cars, trucks and motorcycles. some days it does seem we are a dying breed. but i keep going not worrying about much but if i can make the auto store in time..lol

I'm 19 and I feel similar. I'm getting tired of the general attitude I see from some people. But I still have some great friends that I see at the shows, and I will keep going for that. I likely won't show my truck any more until its done. And even then I won't show it much. I'm moving onto other types of projects myself, with my 30 Chevy and my 1954 F100.
Also, I don't consider this a "scene" or a "lifestyle." I really find that annoying these days. I simply consider it part of my life.

yeah the lowdown show kinda put a damper on my feeling towards show..seems everone is getting younger and younger and just go to the shows to get all screwed up...dont get me wrong i like to party as much as the next guy...i guess im just getting old and dont care for the BS that goes with younger drinkers not all of them but alot
