hey b-sceners!!!

I'm over in Australia... and i was just wondering, do you guys have to have certificates or anything to say you're "Legal" to drive on the road etc. when you do chassis mods?

like over hear we have 2 get an Engineers Certificate, and run bump stops to keep us above 100mm, and also cant have switches work while driving blah blah blah the list goes on....

do you guys have 2 do the same shit? or have the cops got more to worry about?

just a question out of curiosity to see what its like... not for any reason at all just thought i'd ask...

sorry if its been covered before...

Laters...

Brendo.

There are Emissions Test that have to be passed, but other than that not a whole lot needed...just some misc things...

There was an article that was in MT awhile back that covered the US by state, and told you what to expect from the law enforcement...For example, where I am at, things are pretty laid back...

Some states, its like "whats a mini-truck?"

Just depends..

oh ok cool....

i've just seen some pretty rough looking rides while i go through lots of forums and stuff...

didnt really look like they had to be "safe" by law... i've seen some really nice and well built ones... then some really bad un-safe looking ones!! lol

but then again i've seen the same here in aus lol

but yeh anyways thanks dev man...

i go pulled over last weekend by a state trooper because my inspection sticker was expired (by a year haha). he looked my truck over like 3 times. when he pulled me over i just laid it out. he asked me how high i could get it and i showed him up to stock height. the only thing he really gave me any shit for were my brass knuckles. i thought he was going to take me to jail for them being welded to the shifter, then he saw the switch box. i thought for sure i was done. but he let me go with a warning.the ironic thing was that i have been driving this truck for a very long time, and even taken it on 3 hr trips with an expired inspection with no problems, and the day i am on my way to get inspected i get pulled over. haha.

but as far as chassis mods here in texas, no worries. they don't even look at it. they just go by there guide lines (which isn't much) and slap a sticker on.
