I think it is more the point at how hypocritical it is to get all butt hurt about a joke, saying how offensive it is, and then your very own name is perpetuating the same stereotype. But when black people start talking racism that is usually how it is hypocritical.


Has Al Sharpton or Jessie Jackson every been to the funeral of a cop that's been killed on duty or do they just have time to make it to trials of cops that shoot criminals.

Ever hear of Hallam Nebraska, it was hit by a tornado and everything was leveled. I mean the entire town. Probably never heard about it, the people just started putting their lives back together, didn't bother waiting for someone else to do it for them.

yeah this site can be that way, hate to say it. But i try not to read shit like this cant help but be offended when i do. it's impossible to know how one feels when things are said that can be offensive i have been on the site much exactly for this reason.

wow..I kinda missed this one. Things are a little heated in here huh? Well I don't have much to say on the topic, I've been on both sides of it. Lived in long beach, compton, city of industry growing up and being the only white kid to now living in mn, were I rarely see anybody of color. My nickname growing up was Kracker as I was the only white kid, Now I find it funny when people are offened by by kracker and white trash tattoo's..lol

i dont care how you feel about our city, or the couple hundred hicks you speak of, people like you always talk major shit when something happens in the world, but not to them. i GUARANTEE if your house got damaged from anything, you would not be like your heroic hicks!! you would have your hand out looking for all you could get for free just like all the poor under sea level people here. besides moron, i am not in the city, and i am above sea level, which is why in my post i explained that i had minor damage, and didnt file a claim for it. i put my own world together, without a job for 3 months! i didnt wait until someone else do it for me. i guess i am just like your cornhusker hicks

Why do you have to be so combative? What is wrong with a little discussion? I'm just saying it don't make a whole lot of sense the way New Orleans was built. You have to admit building little dirt and concrete walls to keep out like a jillion gallons of ocean isn't probably going to work long term.

And I didn't say they were heroic or anything, just most people never heard of it or anything, you couldn't turn on the t.v. without being bombarded with images. Why didn't the camera men and t.v crews put down their equipment and help?

the subject of Hurricane Katrina is personal to hubrianbgboy because he lived it and a blanket statement like "And if you build a city below sea level next to the ocean I don't care if you get flooded." is a direct attack on him.
oh yeah just a little fyi New Orleans was founded May 7, 1718, so the walls held for a little bit.
someone answer this for me, we all know the boundaries (at least I think we do) why are some people so stubborn, if you know what will get someone upset why do it? I won't talk about your wife and kids, so maybe we should add to the list of boundaries.
I've lived overseas and the opinion they have of us is because of sh!t like this. lets try to be civil, lets try not to white,black,or other lets try to be Americans!
