Hell yeah, and when we walk together, 8 feet back and a foot to the left.
My guy got me 3x2 steel instead of 4x2 and I did the standing on it thing and thought it flexed to much to use for my frame so I sent it back to get 4x2.
I dont think my stock hood would have fit, the alt. and a/c compressor whould have hit, but mine is bd'ed 4". that was the only thing that would have hit i think though.
Mine is 4" stockfloored. The front frame has been z'd, the frame under the cab is made of 2x5 box tubing. It has factory tranny crossmember with new side mounts for removal. It has a traditional bodydrop under 1/2 of rear bench seat to retain factory rear cab/bed mount on frame and to clear gas tank. Has a small pie wedge cut for the tranny tunnel and small patch panel where passenger side exhaust flange is at floor. No loss of leg/head room. Also motor has been dropped and air box sectioned and plastic welded back and still has AC.
i have an aem intake on performer manifold, looks a lil shorter than factory box so hopefully that will help, my alternator is the highest point on my engine, due to it not being a stock one or a stock location, i am not skeerd of cutting the hood but was hoping not to have to do it,
on some other jobs ive done or helped with we have drill 2" holes down the length of the rail (2x4) and welded in pipe. we did that more for aesthetics but it damn sure made it strong as hell..heavy too but
like ive said im not sure if i want to attempt running it flat or not, seems like most of yall havent had too many issues doing it vertical and your pics speak for themselves.so that may be the way i go. again i appreciate everyones help
GAS TANK...I know steven drug through his down in austin..any remedy or should i quit bitchin an get a cell? hopefully ill get a chance to get my truck back on the lift so i can start getting a better idea of what needs to be done
i didnt drag thru mine at heatwave,, the fuel line was rubbing against the firewall and rubbed a whiole in it that me and gary fixed .. nothing to do with gas tank..
oh my bad, thought yall were patchin the tank...drunk again
yeah you were, remeber hanging out the back door window hollaring at poeple going in the main road
another question...front bags...i have re7s in the front now and they get a good bit of lift..been reading that a lot of yall are running re8s, is that an issue? like ive said before im more accustomed to mini trucks and ive already cut out a lot of metal just for the 7s to clear. didnt know if i need to make a pocket out of big ass pipe and weld in or plate it some more or what to get thsoe bigger bastards in there happily
