lil man syndrome huh? i have the dicky doo disease! you know, when your belly sticks out further than your dicky doo what size tires you running on those 19"s, and what size on the inside rear? i love those wheels on your ride!
put the 2x4 inside stock frame on bottom correct?
hell if it is that "easy" i could theoretically do the 2x4 flat like i ws wanting and door it later on..or is that a whole nuther jar of pickles?
that is the only cut you had to make to the cab?
235-35-19 with a A 245/50/16 inside tire
yeah the sq tube is set inside the framerail
only part of the cab i had to cut was the trans tunnel and a lil bit outta the floor braceing so the driveshaft wouldnt rub.
you have to build a new trans and carrier bearing xmember. but thats probably the easiest part of it all. LOL
another jar of pickles!!! besides, i think the 2x4 sideways would be springy. just my $0.02
If you run it with the 2" as the vertical it will not be strong enough. It would probably be great in a side impact.
I wonder hwo springy it would be with a ton of crossmembers out of the same ? im still undecided on how im going to do it, but idamn sure dont want a diving board for a frame lol
on the bed..did you just "z" the stock frame or build a back ahlf? im used to mini's where you can build a backhalf in 30 minutes with 14" of metal
Maybe a double rail frame with lots of crossmembers and you never tow anything. I wouldn't bother with 4x2 id just use 2x2 cause you wont gain anything from the extra width.
good point...IF i do that probably do like i did on my unfinsihed isuzu frame and make long pipe gussets off each body mount and off each crossmember under the body to tie it all together..orrrrrr i could just keep it simple and have no problems lol
my frame from the cab back is all stock minus the notch
