the trans tunnel doesnt have to be moved up that much, realy more of a pie cut and just bend it upwards.(if that makes sense)

im not worried about sacrificing frame strength, im kind of a stickler to renforcing everything a little too much, i hate doing tranny tunnels though lol

my cab was off a 4x4 hence the huge square hole filler piece. and the filler is actually overlapping bothe sides of the cut bout 1/4"

and you dont have to z it to get it to lay flat you can cut down teh part of the frame right under the firewall and move the mounts down pretty much flush witheh top of the frame... mines 2x4 1/4 wall set inside the stock frame with whatever sticking over the top cut off, if i remem right was like 2 3/4" or thereabouts.

any kind of hood clearance issues?

the big retarded ass box that goes above teh throtle body comes close to the braceing, but i just notched that part out to give it plenty of clearance.

if you have the escy/denali conversion there is no problem at all cause those hoods have a higher arch to them... <just random FYI

whoo hooo i do have the cadi front..but when i get my big block built it WILL come out of the hood by God..maybe jsut run with out a hood or get a jdm carbon fiber blow off valve hood haiyah!
