I have been in the scene for a long time but only started doing my own work within the last couple of years. I know alot are kewl about it but alot of people I have tried to talk to about thier rides are pricks. And that has been just giving someone some props and asking them how they did something? I can only imagine how that would intimidate a younger person wanting to learn and get into this sport. I have never understood people that bring shit to a car show and then wanna be all secretive or be an ass when given props or asked about thier ride?

I stopped going to Minitruck shows because of what you speak, it is hard to bring your kids and stuff with all the idiots. I hope it changes i would love to go to shows again.

that is so true, im going to give it a shot again, im building a nissan xcab that im going to start taking as soon as its ready to roll, but i know the hate, its not only minitruckers but its everywhere, i have a civic that i show (not no street racing ricer either) and i always get put down for it. you just have to learn to look over it, cause i do it for the fun not the party cause my son is always with me at shows.

you guys made some very good points. one of the reasons i stepped away from lowriding and got into minitruckin was because i saw less hate. and i agree lately there are too many people actin like fools but we shouldnt point the fingers at younger minitruckers. i was at greenville when there was a shooting ( not minitruckin related) i also see lately a lot of outsiders going to the shows baller suvs donks etc if they see that we act like fools they will be like its ok if we act like fools also and then everything goes downhill. i think eddy and minitruckin/primedia are trying to organise something like goodguys nsra with the whole havoc westcoast and midwest thing its only 2 shows but its a start. mike you say lets do somethin about it you tell us how? you and ernie are the leaders tell us what we need to do to organize ourselves and basiclly clean up the image of minitruckin the people over at sema know that there is a lot of hard work and time that goes into trucks thats why we are allowed to go now its time to show the rest of the world alot of us are getting older and we want to enjoy this with our families maybe we need to stop with the weekend shows and start having 1 day shows like lowrider magazine does or maybe we need to have indoor show like havoc was and leave the draggin for the weekends when we are in our own towns
