some would prob give him a just for his advice....
i thinks its more society then anything cuz around here at the local hang out spot, we always get ran off cuz of some 17/18 year old kids w/ stock cars doin burnouts, tryin to drift fwd cars etc. i yelled at one one nite cuz he was haulin ass in a civici n the parkin lot and his buddies came over tryin to pick a fight. my cop buddie was there(off duty) all the kid had to do was swing at him(any of us) and we would have all decked him. that was after they came over w/ baseball bats n shit. im not sayin i was tryin to pick a fight, just tryin to get them to quit bein dumbasses. some kids were just never taught to respect anything...

ive been going to shows all my 23 yrs of existence on this earth, my dad was a vanner and also had a mini and me my dad and mom would go and the kids would play together and the adults did there thing and there were no problems, the last show we went to as a family was a run in king city or something i was young and we played in the river, had games, had a blast. now that i am into the minitruckin scene for 7 years now ive seen it going downhill, i know alot of people that i dont like to hang out with because they just want to get trashed and fuckup some other peoples shit. common guys, they dont give a dam usually because they dont work on there own vehicles and really get into it. hopefully FFF never goes away, but i have to tell you that is the best show ive ever been to and i havent noticed the idiots out at that show. i have a good time there and meet alot of new people. lets make the future better for the kids lol
like i say theres a time and place for everything.
thats something i was thinkin about if you have ever been to imports and truck bash(ITB) you have seen that all the partying goes on at night in the campground away from the show. this allows people to bring their kids to the shows and not have to worry about anything like partying. I'm not saying it doesnt happen at the show but if it does those people are usually shunned and no one talks to them. So i agree that partying is a bit of a problem but if you do it in the right spot at the right time and control it i dont see a problem with it.
Also im 17(wow im still young) and i understand the hate deal. the only time i hate on someone is when if im trying to nicely help them out they just start yellin at me sayin i'm to young to know shit and all this other BS. Im not saying i know alot but i know enough and it ticks me off when i try to be nice and help and they just yell at me. But i agree that people are just bluntly hatin on other people and that is dumb.
P.S. I told you my age in the middle of the post because would you have read it if the first thing you saw was that i was 17?

Ben, Thanks for your post and Thanks to Mike for posting his column. they both should be inspiration to those of us that want our scene to prosper into the future in which it will not without some change.
I just wanna thank everyone for their input. I have been in this scene a very long time and I don't want to see it die because of some idiots.
I know that this topic is probably a thing of the passed but I was going to respond to this forum on Friday, but unfortunately I couldn

BLUE YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU! And of course I just added Russ to my favorite SSM ppl list
but on the real let's do something about it!!!
i think ignorance about the matter and the "hey i can do anything no matter what anyone says"(which sometimes isnt bad, but it also doenst hurt to listen to other opinions). i know when i first bagged my truck, i was all over ranger forums lookin at pictures of other peoples setups, even had a thread goin about pros n cons of certain things just so i would know.
and all the new "minitruckers" i meet around here i try to give advice on some things, and alot of times, tehy listen!
