WHY?

I HAVENT BEEN IN THE SCENE AS LONG AS SOME OR EVEN MOST PEOPLE ON HERE -- I WOULD SAY ABOUT 6 YEARS -- AND IM 22 NOW --- BUT BOTH STATEMENT WERE BOTH WELL SAID AND THOUGHT OUT --- THERE IS ALOT OF NEGATIVATY IN THIS SCENE -- AND I REMEMBER SOMEONE STATING ON HERE BEFORE -- TAKE A LOOK AT OUR CLASSIFIED HERE OR EVEN THE WEBSITE MAUTOFIED AND WHAT DO YOU SEE -- WELL HAVE THE VEHICLES BEING SOLD ARE WHAT MINITRUCKS --- PEOPLE LEFT AND RIGHT ARE LEAVING THIS SCENE DO TO THE HATRED THERE IS OUT THERE -- THIS SCENE HAS ITS UPS AND DOWN -- BUT IT IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT --- MEETING NEW PEOPLE AND HANGING OUT WITH PEOPLE THAT SHARE COMMON INTEREST --- THERE IS A PLACE FOR WHERE YOU CAN ACT A FOOL -- SHOWS ARE JUST NOT ONE OF THEM ----- MY TWO CENTS -- !!!!

I stopped going to Minitruck shows because of what you speak, it is hard to bring your kids and stuff with all the idiots. I hope it changes i would love to go to shows again.

this isnt a thread about hate. its ben simply asking everyone a question. people want on the bandwagon when its the "cool thing to do" and usually ruin it cuz they dont know how to act. weve all done random silly things to make each other laugh but i always stay under control cuz i dont want to be the "ass" who ruined ti for everyone.

so lets just all sit around the keg and sing kumbya till we pass out.

everyone has made some good points. I think there is such a lack of Respect. I dunno where it went. But it seems like no one has it anymore. I dunno when it became ok to walk up to girls and ask em to see their tits. maybe I missed a memo. I dunno. I dunno when it became ok to ruin somebodys shit. be it their truck a hotel owners room, whatever. again I must have missed the memo. Its killin the scene. I have no answer on how to fix it. The shows will disappear. The people that are here for the wrong reasons will go with them. Maybe someday we can get back to the roots of minituckin. I know 10 yrs ago when I got into it (damn im gettin old) it seemed so much calmer. I dunno. thats my 2 cents

why?

its really simple. People have huge internet muscles, they can start threads on what should happen and point out whats wrong easily.

But at shows when kids or even old pros act up, everyone looks the other way until its time to type out a "why is everyone hating" post on their favorite message board.

Speak up. Practice what you are preaching, and dont try to do it with muscle, educate and teach the people acting like fools that there isnt really a need for it. Hang out with them in your town and let them see what its supposed to be like, its not like the marathon drag DVD's with non-stop mayhem. Its about meeting up with the guys in your area and helping each other out, even if they are 17 and working on yet another static S10. Schedule meets and hangouts where you can show local businesses that you are dollars and not miscreants.

It needs to start improving, old guys know we have been losing big shows since the early 90's. But it isnt going to start on a message board. It needs to happen before you even go to a show.

I can see the points made...but a hacked piece of shit going down the road with shoddy welds does affect me.It affects alot of people on the road that have nothing to do with our lifestyle. People need to use a little common sense when it comes to building a custom vehicle. But no matter which way you look at it there will always be someone that ruins it for everyone else(bad attitudes)

if its a dangerous ride, point out the wrong.......and help FIX it. yea, it may not be physically, but I bet you if you point it out nicely, the person is more likely to fix it than if you yelled at him and told him he was the reason the scene is looke down upon.

Alot of it has to do with a lack of respect, and every body has made great points. I just wish all the congrats thread didn't turn into hate. Cause it's only gonna make those people with sick rides and a wealth of knowledge, bounce. And not want to help out the people trying to make their rides the same caliber.

I AGREE WITH THAT BECAUSE ALL ITS GONNA TAKE IS ONE BAD TRUCK THAT HAPPENS TO BE DRAGGIN BUY A BUCH OF KIDS AND SNAPS IN HALF AND KILLS THEM.THAT WILL REALLY KILL OUR LIFESTYLE AND EVRYTHING WE LOVE ABOUT IT.THEIRS A RIGHT AND WRONG WAY TO TELL SOMEONE THAT SOMETHING IS UNSAFE DONT JUST GO BASH THEM TELL THEM NICELY WHY ITS UNSAFE
