Any cops or people who know the law, is this legal?

well as you all know a cop has to have a reason to pull you over, if the sheriff followed the officer who pulled you over then he wouldnt know why you got pulled over, the officer should have told you when he pulled you over why he did. i know that you are in indiana but in california the po-po have to tell you why they pulled you over regardless of what the citing was.....but you didnt get a ticket and thats the good part.

cops are dicks..i got pulled over on new years eve because i was "riding to low(i was still obove the limit), my head lights were out of adjustment, i had a modified exhaust, i didnt come to a complete stop at a stop sign(but in fact i did because i had just saw a cop on the other corner)" lol for all that he just asked me "if i was drinking" like five time's gave me a little test and told me" tonights your lucky nite son, you better go buy a lottery ticket oh and if i catch you driving around again tonight, iom gonna impound your vehicle for 30 days and deem it unsafe to drive..lol but any ways i dont think they can follow you that far..but they do what they want!

^ they cant follow you.. but they can lurk hella and wait to see you again.

I believe they can call the search probable cause. This might be a catch phrase but that is all the need to search I think. Glad you did not get a ticket.

if the cop checked your height then thats legal, the lights (if you were driving at night) are a problem and you can get a fix it ticket for it, only a rookie or asshole cop will give you a ticket for modified exhaust, and only a warning is necessary for rolling a stop sign in residential.

the day i got my truck bagged.. i was playing with it (you know what its like. feels like xmas when your 10) and i got a ticket for illegal suspension.. so i had to go to the junkyard and get some coilsprings and i cut them down and welded plates to each side and bolted them in place of my bags front and back.. had horrible camber and it sat like a cocaroach but they wrote it off! lol

Yea, I'm glad he didn't ticket me. It just really pisses you off. I get followed often in the wagon and have been pulled over about the tint. But never have it been this extreme. Usually I'm cool with the cops and I get respect right back. He originally said he was going to cuff me while he searches my car but ended up just letting me talk to the other cop. I've never been cuffed so I was thinking WTF did I do to deserve all of this.

maybe he liked your car and couldnt find a reason to pull you over to look at it, so he just said fuck it and pulled you over and took a peek?


or he is going to wait until you are asleep and steal your radio?

call and file a harrassment complaint. follow the phone call up with a letter. you were obviously pulled over for no reason other than he thought you were traffiking drugs. falls under profiling also, but i'd just stick to the harrassment.
