I'm with Jon on that. Brian is the most talented photojournalist in the scene as far as I'm concerned (sorry Mike, please don't tear up my checks). I really enjoy your work man, writing as well as photos. Much praise.

id like to think that there isnt alot of black trucks out there, compared to all the other colors.....my 2cents is that the body work and etc has to be perfect on black b/c it shows more than a "normal" color...

Thanks Jon and Justin, but I am just one of many phototogs that like what we do, getting paid to photograph objects of our desire. I appreciate the comments though.

I know Brian is a big advocate of film... but everything is going digital and technology gets better each and every day... my brand new 20D that's only 3 months old is already outdaed

I love that black dually..and I think the idea of shooting pics with the windows down really help with the pics....thats why I neer tint my windows..I like people to see the interior..and awesome job on the photos!

Hey Mike. You know, I've had a couple of guys ask me that and I think a lot of times it's one of those "it depends" kind of situations. I always ask the owner if his side windows are tinted or not. My preference is that trucks with tinted rear windows and clear side windows, just kind of look funny to me if they are up. And I like to see the interior in some of the shots too. The black dually being a good example. Sometimes it doesn't matter if they are tinted or not, when they are up, sometimes they have all kinds of goofy reflections in them. Then finally, which I am sure you might have noticed yourself, when doing the long exposure stuff and at the right angle to paint the side of the truck, the side windows will often "blow out" or get really harsh. Like I said though, it really just depends on the light, the truck, the windows, the angle I am shooting at, and most of all, if I even remember think about whether or not they are up in the first place..LOL. Hey Mike, I am going to remember and quote this post next time you ask me about rolling up the guys windows. Actually I do think situation dictates.
Brian, you are a master of this trade and whenever I look for influence in shooting I check out your pictures my friend. I saw that in the latest issue of Trucks the editor said you were one of the best in the business and that is totally true!
