I'd put big money on the line that 90% of the people bitching about Bush down there didn't bother to vote... I don't like Bush, but I took the 10 minutes out of my day to voice my opinion when it counted...

I feel for the people REALLY needing the help but for the people looting,rapeing,shoot at rescue helicopters,That shit is BULLSHIT.Hell if I was bush I won't want to go into an area where people are shooting and rapeing,fuck that!!!

And I agree ,it is a wellfare state,and the people that is relocating to the houston astrodome ,now you will be paying for them outta your taxes,and that shit ain't fare,now I understand people that will relocate to houston,tennessee,and other place to get a job and provide for themselves but for those that plan on getting a wellfare check and sucking the system dry,THAT IS BULLSHIT

And for the most part why didn't the people get outta town win they were warned!!I understand not having money to but hell,get anough people and get outta town,NOW all that is left is the hoodleims and the project rats causing chaos,stealing 50 pairs of shoes WTF!!!

And for a kayne west,i despise of him,OH I REALLY like how the broadcasting company cut him short of his speach,YEAH FUCKING RIGHT, his message was blount and to the point"BUSH DOESN'T LIKE BLACK PEOPLE",but I seen bush on the tv huggin nigger babies!

There is absolutely no denying the tragedy that has gone on in MI and LA and everyone has been effected by this natural disaster. I wish this country could have made relief efforts quicker but unfortnately our resources are stretched line because of the conflict in IRAQ. Whether you think the Iraq conflict is right or wrong, our National Guard is stretched thin, and like someone else said FEMA is not just sitting waiting to show up whenever they feel like it.

God bless the people of the Red Cross who do not have to wait for bureracy to take action, those non-government funded volunteers drop what they do any go to where they are needed.

As for Kanye West and the whole "race card" issue. First off, MI and LA have some of the lowest per capita household incomes for the nation. Their poverty levels are huge and New Orleans is one of the poorest cities in the country. I know alot of people do not care to believe it, but these states have a much high African American population than other states. I wonder why you would see alot of looting by African Americans? Look at the L.A. Riots in Los Angeles there were alot of Hispanic looting stores in the midea coverage. Secondly, the reason this tragedy was so bad was because in a poverty-stricken area of the country where an evacuation order is given some people did not have the means to leave......therefore they were left in harm's way.

I read someone said that if this would have happen in Cape Cod or somewhere in the Northeast that government relief would have been there immediately. That is incorrect, there would have been less of a need because those areas have much higher household incomes and the citizens would have had the means to leave the area therefore destorying homes and not lives.

This whole issue is a tragedy and it is sad that people like Kanye West want to point the finger at people and say the media is portrayinng his "people" as criminals is journalists are just reporting what they see. If the majority of the people stranded are African Americans and there is looting going on.....I would bet a few bucks that you are going to see some African Americans looting more than anyone else because they are the majority.
