Hurricane Damage

one of my wife's grandmas got power last night, she lives across from SLU, so I'm thinkin' they busted ass to get power on there to use it as a shelter... we got through to them last night, and man it was such a relief... now I can focus my prayers on all the other people that have no homes and power and in a way have to start their whole damn lives over... i almost feel guilty that I have a couple cars a motorcycle, big screen tv, sitting here in an air conditioned office, gonna go watch some dvds tonight and these people are pretty much livin' somewhere that looks like a nuclear bomb went off... it's easy to be critical of how some of the people are acting when you're not in the same plight as them... just remember that, when the news is focusing on the negatives... and when you watch the pics of the looting, notice that when the cops stop them they just have them throw the shit down into the water and mud... what's the point of that?? Also, why is it that USA Today is the only media outlet that has informed people that other countries are donating funds to the U.S. for relief efforts? my local news hasn't mentioned it once and I've heard a bunch of people here bitchin' about it, when other countries ARE helping!!!

By law they are allowed to steal as long as they can prove it was "necessary"

i heard several times today that they looted a gun store and last i heard they were shooting at helicopters????whats up with that shit???

they started all this shit because they are pissed off(i can see that) but by doing so
they had to stop the big move they had planned with all the buses to houston

and they were shooting at rescue helicopters WTF
what do they think they are accomplishing by doing that???

this sort of thing can bring out the absolute best in some people and the absolute worst in others...but I agree WTF are they thinking by shooting at the rescue copters.....and watching people on the news walking out of walmart with a tv over his shoulder...now what the hell are you going to do with a tv when the power is out for a month....those type of people need to be shot in my opinion

Fats Domino is one of the missing in New Orleans. He told his manager he would ride it out.. people over seas say that Katrina was part of the world war and they are singing and dancing in streets.. Our own American brothers and sisters are on roof tops shooting at rescue persons... what the hell?? Rapes and shooting inside the super dome... Bring our American armed forces home and drop "the" bomb on the singing dancing basturds over there. Get control of our own people... and don't buy gas on sunday! god please bless the south!

Also keep in mind that the satellite pic posted early in this thread is the coast of Florida, the storm was only a Cat 1 or 2 when it went ashore there. By the time it hit LA, and MS, it was a strong cat 4 or weak cat 5.
