mazda idle problems... HELP ASAP

how would i check for a vaccum leak. also when i got the truck it has a metal line that was just open. dunno where it was going to but it was cut and it had vaccum so i left it alone. a few days ago abo 4-5 days ago i took some pliers and closed it off. would that have messted with anything?

if you can keep it barely running and smell the exhaust (not too much now!) if the egr is open it will smell like fuel. Also some egr's are a diaphram that does break or tear, and need replacing

haha sounds like your truck needs a little vacuum leak.
Those hoses and junk on the fender are not emissions equipment, they go to a series of solenoids that bleed vacuum from one part of the carb to another depending on engine load and O2 signal. EGR reciculates exhaust into the intake, and over time older engines burn more oil, which shows up as carbon in the vacuum lines when the engine is hot, and oil sludge when the engine is cold. Combined, the resulting black gook plugs up the sensors and solenoids and bleeds and lines. You can take them all apart, order all new ones, whatever, unless you fix the oil burning with a rebuild, its just going to do it again.
Sounds like you needed that leak. Not that it ran any better, its probably getting worse mileage with the leak (the O2 sees this extra air and pumps in more gas) but you have this stalling problem.
Metal hose? Trace it back and tell us where it came from.

hey russ will a 32/36 dgav work if so were can i get the adapter kit weber dosnt have the adapter kit by it self on there site ,thanks russ plz hurry b4 i do something drastic like sell the dawg

has a littel black thing on it that runs to the btreather and looks like a smaller line that T's off with another one...

well i dunno where the fuck my other post went so i guess ill write the shit over again.
i went ou there and seen the littel metal black hose went to the bottom of the big horse ass looking breather. also thats the line i clamped togetrher and i went out there with a hack saw and cut it back off and it doesnt have any vacumm to it anymore.
also after a few seconds of it just idealing it will pick up and run smooth, so after it did i got in it and hit the brakes hard down to the floor a few times and it almost killed it so i let off of them and it an like shjit fora few seconds and then it ran fine and i did it about 3 other times and its gfot someting to do with the brakes, when i hit hte padle to the floor it kills the pos motor, so idk the brake booster sounds like what its doing. how would i check for vacumm leaks.

sorry for all teh words, thats the best i can say it without just going off. stupid pos makes me so sick i cant stand to look at it anymore, cant even drive it a full day without 50things fucking up on me

32/36 DGAV, the only thing is the "A" is for agua, water choke, you'll need to tap into your coolant lines.
You can get just the adapter, I think I paid 90 bucks for the adapter and an air cleaner when I bought a $75 38DGES brand new from a garage sale.

32/36 DGAV, the only thing is the "A" is for agua, water choke, you'll need to tap into your coolant lines.
You can get just the adapter, I think I paid 90 bucks for the adapter and an air cleaner when I bought a $75 38DGES brand new from a garage sale.

Well i had a similar problem with mine it was the feul/air mixture control valve in the carb (the one peice that dont come in rebuild kit) it cost about $150 CND..dunno if this helps
