mazda idle problems... HELP ASAP

it will run fine and everything, when i go to slow down,stop or let off theg as it idles rought and then dies... it just started this today and i dunno wtf wrong with it this time?

it acts as if it isnt getting gas, i cleaned the filter adn everything it ddint help any...

whats up man i had the same problem with my mazda 2 weeks ago. I found out it was the ignition switch. Mine would run fine as long as you dident let up on the gas. But sometimes it would stall out for no reason. I replaced the ignition switch with one from a junk yard and havent had any problems. The only reason i got one from a junk yard is because a new one runs about $160 and every place had to order one.

ignition switch? which switche are you talking about? and if it helps any its a 87 b2000

Take some time and check all your vaccuum lines and fittings for holes or cracks. If it's only giving you problems at low RPM or idle there's a good chance that you have a vaccuum leak somewhere.

well i took the disturber cap off and cleaned it. and the stupid piece of shit will only die when you stop fast. if you just go down the road and let off the gas or put it in netural it will idle, i even went down the road trying to see if i had water in my gas tank and it wasnt that. the ghey piece of shit wont run a full day without taring up, damn im so pissted

im having the same prob but it really sux cause im trying to get it to pass emissions

well we ran in to that and yesterday we got a fuel filter changed it and now it runs just fine..... It could be many number of things

i dont care...u all act like other trucks NEVER break down or have problems...sheesh.

id take a rough idling mazda over a smooth s10 anyday
