my buddy got his s1o arms quick and they are badass...now my ? is about mazda arms..what do u achive by having these arms on a dawg? i'm new to mazdas and am gettin 1 really soon i believe so i would like to know all the benefits of the arms and any drawbacks...and pics of the arms would be nice as well

ive been away from the shop for most of the last 2 weeks taking care of business and moving. this could not be avoided. everyone will get their parts or money. im still here making parts just about every day.

whos broken a DOM arm? ive had 2 sets of S-10 arms break, but both broke the HR steel 3/16" plates, not the DOM or the welds. they didnt even bend the DOM and wont.
DOM of the same thickness is much better than SCH 40 or 80
I do agree that sch 80 should be plenty stong enough for parts, even sch 40 should as long as the tube is a large diameter.
DOM of the size of 1&1/4x1/4" thick costs about 4.50 a foot. but why not use it, since its very good for strength, looks and welding compatability.

doesnt the article in sport truck and some other publications say that the Toyota arms are made with DOM? the pic in the sport truck mag doesnt look like DOM to me, it looks like sch 80 to me.
I will say I like the look of the arms and the rest I have seen on the site. im not bashing the arms, but if you say in one place they are DOM, and then in another they arent, that should be cleared up.
maybe they sent the press release and hoped to have everything DOM by the time it came out, I dont know.
Im glad some other minitruckers are bulding parts and people have an option other than large companies that dont care about anything but $$

this is the most rediculous, drug out thread ive ever seen on here. It kinda pisses me off that someone is in a bind with their personal life, business, and everything else and yet whiney bitches make the man respond to 32 pages of pure bullshit to maintain his reputation as an awesome fabricator and a good person. I love my s10 arms so give the man a break or buy your shit elsewhere...

Dave, the DOM I get from Earl M Jorgensen steel company comes with a brown coating. thats pretty much what made sean question it. we sand the brown coating off. with a roloc disc that scratches it and makes it look like pipe. we now use a less abraisve sander to do the same job.
we are looking into the cleaner chemical that does the same job without sanding. this will allow us to save time on building parts and not have the expense of the sanding discs.
I have seen some of the 1" DOM come in bare steel form but the 1&1/4 and 1&1/2 is always coated in the brown and also sometimes a bit of oil.
Id like to thank Sean for calling me immediately yesterday and having more than one long discussion on this subject. I also found some new places to get small parts I use on a regular basis.

the part that gets me is the flat out lies and personal attacks that get me.
anyone who knows me personally will tell you, and have on this thread, that you will get your parts or money. Im sorry the time frame is not what I promised or you expected.
ill turn this business around and get back to getting parts out in a timely manner as soon as I possibly can.
ive reduced costs all over the shop, at home and im even getting a part time fab job to pay the bills and for materials and parts. I am totally committed to the minitruckers and being a part of this scene for a long time.
