Yes, it could be. Run through this diagnostics page to help you find the exact problem.

I just picked up a 92 b2600i and it's doing the same thing. I have dripping from my brake booster. I'm in a bind with cash right now so if I fix it it's gonna have to be cheap. Real cheap. What's my best route for this? And is it gonna potentially damage anything if I keep slamming the brake pedal to the floor to stop.

Master cylinder. And it can result in a crash, so yeah, that pounding can blow out whatever is left in it.

I wouldn't drive it like that for anything

The master can leak internally or externally.

In either case is very dangerous.

A family friend of mine died with a friend when his master cylinder was bad and he kept driving.

You can also try to remove the broken bleeder first - or of you are really trying to "economize" then just pull the caliper off and bleed it with a block of wood between the pads - put the brake line fitting at the top and hit it with a mallet to get he air to the top.

Not like you have to bleed brakes very often.

Right on. After what everyone was saying about brakes going out, wrecks, etc. I decided to stretch my account and take it to a brake shop and see what they can do for me. It will sit and get shined up in the meantime.
