Axel wrote a how-to for taking apart switches to clean contacts for head light switch, think it's applicable to the turn signal stuff too.

Remember, the hazards use an un-switched power source. Turns are switched through the ignition.
Also, there are a series of fuses each circuit depends on. Under the hood, the hazards run through the 30amp BTN fuse, while the turns(and the rest of the IGN switch) rely on the 80amp main. From there, the hazards go through the fuse panel under the dash marked "hazard"... who woulda' thunk. The turns go through the "meter" fuse.

that little green "flasher" box was it. swapped it out for a new one and they work just fine. thanks for the info!
