Rock on. Seems like a cheap fix to get less binding when aired out.

The 2 tapers used most are 1.5" per foot and 2" per foot. There seems like there should be more but its just how far up the tapper you go. If i remember mopar was the 2" and chevy were 1.5" not positive thow.

is the stock mazda lower ball joint the same taper as the s-10?

this might explain my problem. about 3 years ago i bought drop spindles but can't rember if they came with ball joints or not. so i'm trying to find new lower ball joints for both sides, the boots are ripped on both of them. ordered new one but it was u shaped and the bolt that goes in spindle is bigger than the one that came off the truck but the bolt pattern is the same. so the one on the truck now must be a s-10 one. do i just ask for a lower ball joint for a 91' s-10 my truck is 91 b2600.
thanks

you might post up a pic of the ball joint and someone might be able to help identify what type it is.
