Is the Mini-truck scene sick? (not the "cool" sick)

It's not even about this site or at shows people not helping physically. It's about when I joined the scene people would answer all questions on the net, responding in a great way. Now when somebody asks how you did something, they respond on the forums with, IF YOU CANNOT FIGURE THAT OUT, TAKE IT TO A SHOP. Theres some very bright people in this scene, then some at just plain brain-dead and act like they stumbled on a pile of gold with there ideas. No matter if I do not want to let another know what something is on my truck usually my paint code, I have always given it to people. If they needed a picture of something, I took it. I see this sometimes, but not like it used to be.
