If they ignore it, so be it, but to make a post on the internet just to destroy a kids ride is pathetic, dangerous or not. Just that single post can snap a youth into depression or worse. Whens the last time you heard of a hacked minitruck hurting somebody? I have only once and it was not a hacked minitruck. I just think people are way way to harsh on poorly built rides, when majority of them are first timers. Not everybody is a natural at building cars the first time.

I just notice that nobody wants to help anymore, or sees a kid/adult asking a question about a ride as a newbie and gives a assh-le reply. I think this scene is slowly dieing for multiple reasons, but a huge part is that not as many people are willing to help another out anymore. Guess it's the generation maybe.

wow....i need to get in on this one!...EVERYONE before me makes absolute sense!..."we" (all of Bscene) hold ourselves to much higher standards that most of the minitrucking community seems to have lost within the past 10 to 12 years...I'm only 29 and not really that old but even being isolated in the northeast (previously barren wasteland of mini's) i've always owned a dropped truck..i recieved nothing but bull about my trucks since day one...they were never low enough, painted..lol or any other crazy mods....but they were mine and i loved them...no one EVER gave me any kinda respect..then it was like POOF..magnetic mini's (local truck club)kinda just fadded out, praise the lowered (another one)..dissappered without a trace almost..i remember back in the day trying to roll with them and they gave me a list of rules and told me my ride was a piece of crap and i never would be allowed to rock a logo..i just went home and busted on my truck more..and i see more and more trucks around here now and the guys running them seem to have a major bug up their asses..you ask them about it and they act like they are so much better than you and roll out....hell...ANY time some younger kid would roll up in his hand me down sdime or anything else for that matter and would ask me about my truck i would be more than welcome to explain it and show it to them...i ended up with a few good friends that way..they still respect me because of the way i treated them..it just seems like if you aren't a big baller mini roller (you know what i mean) than you are nobody...we all here are family!..bound by mazda's but brought together more because of who we are..not what we roll........i saw ryan arsenault (black/yellow sdime on 22's) who has been in a bunch of mags at a local show...the guy was a complete DICK! i asked him about his truck and he shrugged me off like i was a bum looking for change...WTF???!!!...we all love our mini's...that should bind us all together..not push us apart...we ALL need to change..and get this back to be what it was 10 years ago..look at Mazdafest..we decided the right way to do it and i know that everyone attending is gonna have a great time..i think we all need to hike up our pant's..adjust the suspenders and start small and throwing shows to pull all the true minitruckers out of the woodwork again...i just met an oldschooler about 6 months ago..he's got a bagged nissan kingcab that hasn't seen the light of day in over 8 years..he doesn't want to bring it to any shows local because no one has respect for our roots of minitrucking...they don't bother even looking at it..i'm gonna be helping him tweek his truck a bit so he can enjoy it again...all this started because he was in a lowered Sdime that was his daily and i was in the dawg and i waved to him and gave him the truck props....he ran around for two weeks trying to find me before he chased me into my shop...we were both glad to meet eachother...he is an awesome dude!..i want to bring my son to shows!!! i don't want him to ask me what those guys are doing and me be embarrased to tell him!....we included our children into our lives..hopefully we can change this and keep it a great thing for them in the future!!

sorry guys......i get alittle annoyed that the scene is going to hell in a handbasket

my 3cents!

Me and my bro feel the way most of you do that the punks (like in the video) are the ones helping bring down the scene. I know that when I see motorcycles drive by or see one another that they always way and show respect for each other no matter if they ride cruisers or crotch rockets and that makes me sad cause where i'm from there is more red-necks then mini-truckers and when i do see one they do not show the same kind of respect. I'm hoping that with my son I can teach him the way the scene was and how it should be again. As for Mazdafest the way you guys are putting it on is awesome I just wish we had one on the east coast as well.

I agree with this a lot, on a side note I wonder how many people get burned by helping others, I'm sure that has an impact as a whole. I've been burned by so many people just helping others in all honesty it's hard for me to trust people I meet that are into trucks. I know it's not fair but I can't help it.

I had a friend sum it up with a quote "Everyone wants help, but no one wants to help" I think that is a good quote but that applies to life in general not just trucks.

I can promise all of you that my sites will always be around so as long as you are still in the hobby there will be a place to share your projects, and information. I'm not worried about the scene dying at all people will come and go, and come back just with about anything, and the economy is having an impact right now along with that.

Thankyou! And that is why I will be here. I have been to several other sites related to Lowriders and Mini-trucks and this is by far the best site as far as respect goes. Yes we have problems once in a while, but generally they get fixed or resolved without to much fuss.

Is the Min-truck scene sick? Maybe, but I don't think it is dead.

as long as guys like us are around the scene will NEVER die..it might go into hibernation from the mainstream again but it won't be gone for long...i've noticed as a whole how quick you can lose the people only out to use you...charge them!..lol...i used to help out all my friends with their rides in exchange for help around my shop..started to seem after a while that they only stopped by when they needed something and when i needed help i was stranded...so i started charging all my "friends" (i use that term loosely) and i noticed how fast they didn't bother to come around anymore...but the friends that did stay and help i called it good..i told them how much they owed me and i let them work it off..even though i didn't care about the money..it was the respect factor...seemed to work very well...i don't have too many scavengers around my place anymore..i miss turning out cool stuff for my buddies but not at the expense of finacial breakdown due to not turning out customer jobs in time due to fixing a "friends" F'd up truck...as long as we (minitruckers as a whole) try to do whatever we can to bring our name back SOMEONE will notice and these little A-holes that are ruining it for us will eventually jump on the next fad and we can bring our status back up to what it should be...like rollin low going down a street and waving at a cop and getting a wave and a smile in return...not him running our plate number!

Its the same for us here too. We live in a little one stop light town. But, strangely enough ( or maybe not) , there are quite a few mini's here. Almost all of them are young, stupid, and immature and all belong to the same club. They get quite a kick out of tearing shit up, burnouts in the parking lots and drive thrus, running from the cops, and when the cops do catch em, are proud of their tickets and cant wait to do it again. Because of this, the cops are watching them...and watching them hard too. And because of that, they watch my truck, and David's truck too. We dont tear our trucks up, we dont break laws, we act responsibly and respectfully. But because of their actions, we got lumped in with them too! Just 2 days ago, we were heading to our weekly meet and greet, and blew a hole in the line. Pulled off the side of the road, and was in the process of fixing it. Not one car or truck stopped to see if we needed help. Including another mini. A cop rolled by twice and didnt bother to stop. Its hard when we try to be examples and keep the scene growing for our kids, when you get such poor examples like the rest of them here in town. All I can hope is that our good example will rub off on those kids, and my mine.

we are the same here.....I was coming here for a bit...still will but have kinda clammed up lately....I have read only half of these responses....but so many here in AZ are acting the same and I came to bscene to get away and chat try and help out....but even here...there is atittude. I try hard as I can to look past it all and move on...but like I said in another thread...really aint got much to say no more....I will help if I can on some engine issues and such.

sad....to watc the scene on both fronts take a hit.
