highschool

I was expelled from highschool 13 days before I graduated, got my GED before my class graduated, went to college for a couple years knocked up my now wife and getting ready to have my third child with her and I am not looking forward to the day I have to explain to each of my children why the father didn't graduate. Man don't do it. A highschool diploma looks 100 times better on a job app than a GED. Believe me it makes you look like you have commitment problems and if you are competeing for a job against another guy that might be a little less qualified but he has a diploma, 100 to 1 hed get. Believe me stick it out. You got the rest of your life to work highschool don't take long.

Yea guess I'm a Dumbass as well and I guess I'm a quitter as well. But funny thing I have had the same job going on 10 years oh well. But I do have one thing to say. I bet you this, you can go grab 5 HS grads and give them the GED test and all 5 will fail it first time around. They take 4 years of HS and stick it all in one test. If you think you can pass it first time around go for it. Cause I did and when my kids get older and ask my Daddy why did you quit school. I have no problem telling them that I quit school to provide for my family. No I did not knock up my GF me and my wife were married before she got pregnant. If I had to do over I would do the same thing the same way 100%. But I don't need your approval or anyone else And those of you who look down on those with GED's I would not wont to work for a stuck up a s shole that thinks his s h i t does not stink anyway.

you had legitimate reasons for leaving school. speedking doesn't. he just wants to stop going to school because "it sucks."

I'm a high school grad and have been to trade school and I can't get f*ck all for a decent job around here.

I don't care what education someone has,or has lack of. I don't need a piece of paper proving my supposed intelligence or someone elses. Your point is correct. Take 5 grads and give them the GED test and they will fail. I absolutely beleive it.

If I were an employer, I would hire based on attitude,willingness to learn and previous WORK experience,not education,unless the position requires some sort of special licence or accreditation.

Personally,I learn better on a job than I do in a classroom. You learn life as you live it. You can read a book on how to live life and write a test,but you'll probably fail.

well i dropped out halfway through my senior year n got my g.e.d. with no studying or any prep classes. i even got outstanding scores on the test, by wat the instructor told me. school jus wasnt for me thats y i dropped out, i think the only class i got an A in was auto hahaha. o wait i got an A in polynesian music, a class where all we did was play reggae or hawaiian style music.
