dude there not being any girls is a stupid reason to drop out. dont let hoes run your life. i been through that and i know that none of them stick around anyway. trust me when you got a high degree and are making bank the girls will jump panty-less into your porsche
Not to be harsh but high school should be a breeze, life only gets tougher after that.
Education is so important to your future, shoot for a college degree and complete it, you won't regret it.
iam in high school and plan to stay and graduate then go to UTI ...
both of my parents dropped out of high school but i plan to go all the way thru it ..
I totally agree with Chris! I usually only interview people with degrees but if I see a GED instead of Diploma it says to me this person is probably a quiter or someone who gives up to easy so I would have to ask why not just finish high school?
I went all the way through 12 years of school, didn't graduate cause I failed a senior English class. I got my state diploma 2 years later. So at least I got that far. BUT trust me go to school after school research the demand for jobs in something you will enjoy or at least tolerate.
If not you will end up like me stuck working at a trailer plant with no future and not knowing if it will even be open for business by next year.
I've been finished school for almost 5 years now and all I've worked is dead end jobs. That is partly due to the fact that there is little work in my area, and that I only had my grade 12 diploma.
I've had TWO good jobs, out of about 12 jobs, but only one of them paid really good. I was actually going somewhere with that job until the place pretty much went under.
Now,I hate school. I hate sitting in classrooms and doing bookwork and stuff. Bores the crap out of me and I get distracted and drift off or just outright fall asleep on the desk. I never planned to go to college or university. I didn't want to spend another 2 to 7 years stuck in school, plus I didn't even know what I would have wanted to go for. The longest I've held a job for is 2 years. 9 out of 12 jobs I left because I was layed off due to cutbacks. I've never been fired from a job,and only left the other 3 to take other job opportunities.
This year I went to trade school. It was 6 months, I got an accredited licence and I can't find much work in my trade, plus I don't really want to work in it anyways. Kinda feel like I wasted my time with it, but it's now given me something more than high school on my resume.
I honestly don't know what I plan to do with my life. I'm almost 23 and I don't know what I want. I would like to drive tow trucks, but you have to be 25 for insurance purposes. My dad is a trucker andhas been for over 20 years. I think I might end up doing that,as I've been looking into it the past week or so.
When I was younger I always said I wanted to be an automotive designer. As I got older,I still liked the idea, but like I said,I hated school, and I was like "screw that,I don't want to go to school anymore."
So yeah. Stay in school or you'll end up a loser like a bunch of us have already found out the hard way.
ok. i agree with some, and others i dont. I quit school with 2 months to go. kind of got screwded over by changing schools/states, but that is no reason for me to quit. i wish now that i hadnt. i did get my GED, 2 weeks after quitting school. I am 37 and am in a position where schooling would make my life easier. i make sure that i tell my kids to go to school, enjoy and learn. dropping out is no answer to the rest of your life! it may fix the immediate problems in your life, but 20 years later, it wont. believe me! STAY IN SCHOOL! STAY IN SCHOOL! STAY IN SCHOOL! STAY IN SCHOOL!
do you get what im saying? im not dogging you. but you need to unedertsand that schoolong makes a world of difference. maybe not so much if you will get hired or not, but those things you think you will never need, you may just end up needing.
i agree, i bearly graduated HS and thats cuz i took night school for like half of my "senior year" i was still considered a jr cuz i didnt have enough credits, well my first 3 years in school i didnt give a shit and by the time i was a "senior" i was like fuk i need to get on the ball cuz i dont wanna be like all my loser family. so i worked hard studied my ass off, stopped fallin asleep in my classes, didnt skip school anymore, and i graduaded! bearly but i did! I AM THE ONLY ONE IN MY FAMILY OF 6 THAT HAS GRADUATED FROM HS and i enrolled in college and had a pretty good grade on my ACT and other test but i dropped out cuz i panicked and didnt think it was right for me, now its been almost 4 years i think and im still not decided on what i wanna do with my life..... but at least when i do decide to go back to college i got my diploma. STAY IN SCHOOL BRO....... im not sayin that a GED is not good cuz my sister has her GED and shes studying to be a nurse, not an lvn or caregiver
i can get into collage right now becouse its like 900per semester witch i can handle by myself i want to go to collage for welding/fabricating but right now the only thing in my way is my deploma thats why i wanted to get my GED so i can be done with schooling by the time im 20 and get off this island
