Good deal, that should help narrow down the list of what it could be.

I just talked to him about this, he said there are small water pickup holes on the side of the drive that can get clogged with sand, seaweed, ect. If you have been in shallow water they can get clogged pretty easy. Also he said to check the water line from the drive to the impeller for any clogs. He said if that your impeller was dried up, its probably pretty likely those are clogged.

Thanks man, I know when I have a hose hooked up it flows shitloads of water out of the water inlet on the outdrive and when I fire it up it stops flowing outta that and out of my exhaust like it should, So I know that the water is flowing through the engine. The impeller was dried out but not broken apart or anything. I replaced it with a new one, I will pull off that sea water pickup thingy on the outdrive and see if its clogged at all. Thanks again man, Any more info is greatly appreciated I really wanna get this fixed summer is coming fast lol. Oh also I pulled the oil cooler thinking maybe an old impeller blew apart at some point in there and clogged it from a long time ago, And it was all clean too.

Yes I am, and my condolences on the volvo.

Is that a closed cooling system. Most the volvos had a heat exchanger on them filled with antifreeze and the sea water cooled the antifreeze.

Is volvo bad? And no this engine isnt a closed system.. It being closed would need a radiator which is doesnt have. Just sea water. And a water cooled exhaust system.

You're right on your pick up location (in your drawing), but the exhaust should come out the round silver thing right next to the out drive. Sounds like your water pick ups are clogged. This happens to my jetskis on a regular basis, mainly cause I like riding in shallow water.

The engine is an AQ130C if that helps? Im gonna try to get a thermostat for it, Im thinking maybe it does NEED it to build somewhat pressure in the system and to allow the water to sit in the motor for a minute to absorb the heat? Make sense? Or am I totally wrong lol?
