OK so I was out in the garage tonight, and I was putting the axle in place to set my pinion angles, and get everything else in order for when my 4 link comes in, and well I think I put my notch to far forward... not by much, but just a little bit... a little bit to much.

In order for my axle to be centered under the upper bag plate while at ride height ( 5 inches ). Without binding the axle in to the trans I would have to put my u-joint next to the pumpkin as such and angle that, that binds up.... now I don't know what to do... take the axle out... keep building it the way I am and then have a custom shaft built. I really don't want to cut my drive shaft and weld it back together at the correct length, because that's just asking for problems.... ahhh I'm aggravated right now and out of ideas... please anyone with advice on this throw out any ideas you might have.....

Do you have any photos. But if I remember from a thread that I read yesterday you are doing a notch with custom back half frame from there correct.

I would go with the custom made driveshaft. Off-road rock crawlers use an extendable shaft, I'd look into getting one of those. I don't know what they are called for certain, but maybe a slip yoke.

Ok like todd said do you have an adjustable four link but that wont necessarily work because you problem you will run into next is your wheels being to far forward in the wheel wells. I am just brainstorming but if you are already building a new back half section after the notch why don't you cut that back half off and build from there.

Id cut the notch off and move it before I had a custom driveshaft made.
