I was only wondering, how many people here Daily a bagged mini..
And stuff like pros and cons lol
mine was a daily for a few months after i bagged the front but i blew the motor. i bagged the front and 3 days later drove it from tennessee to maine straight thru. if you do a good job it will be reliable. you need to figure out a good ride height and have it aligned there cus if not you will wear tires.
i drove mine a year as a daily till i took it off the road for a rebuild. no issues or concerns. drove it 45 mins each way to work. its things like good compressors, water traps, and bag rubbing you have to worry about. and also having shocks make the ride better. leaks are an issue but small ones can be slightly overlooked, that goes back to having good compressors.
I don't drive mine daily but I drive it often to shows and events (about 10,000 miles a year). My biggest suggestion is to buy good components get good work done and don't take short cuts. Do it right keep up with the maintenance and treat it with respect and it will last you for years. If you beat it to death it will fail just like anything else. Oh and one more thing.... Drag it!!!! Replating the frame is always worth the effort!
Cool, its Just I always hear about people blowing bags.. as for short cuts i have always lived by "Do it right the first time, or don't do it at all". But I guess it makes sense, a good system and so on, you wont have to worry about such thing..
Replating sounds like a goood idea lol
i drove mine daily also, until i decided to rebuild the motor, and then it snowballed from there and its still in the garage.
bagged and BD for about 3 1/2 - 4 years. no problems, except ones i caused myself... you'll only hear about people blowing bags if they've done a hack install job, or in a RARE case a manufacture defect, but i've persnally never heard of that. its always either too much pressure (hopping) or a poor install.
think about reliability for a minute. semi trucks on the interstates and highways and byways and citystreets run airsprings hundreds of thousands (or millions or billions... u know what i'm getting at) of miles each year.
shocks are a MUST. don't bag your shit if your not going to finish up with a nice set of shocks. and of course your need to route your airlines away from moving parts, hot parts, dragging parts, vibrating parts etc. dummy proof the underside of your truck and you'll be ok.
i drove mine for a few months then drove it to suicide house and now its in a million pieces.
Thanks for all the input and such guys, i really wanna daily my B when i get it bagged.
Well go between the Mazda and Honda
I drive mine daily, too. Until winter, then it goes in the garage
Mine was a daily with out any issues until it lost its roof! Now its a garage Queen.
