Take it down to a carb tuning shop when your done. They can throw the truck on a AF meter and tune it for the best milage and power. If you dont tune it correctly you can ruin your piston rings.

What is the point to the plug bar to the right of your CAP?

to block the exhaust from coming out those holes...

That's where the pipe was cut off, smashed flat and folded over on itself.
