2WD vs. 4WD Front Bumper Ends

Heck, you were half way there on the pre-runner. Just lift the front end a couple of inches and you're in!

I think I'm going with black FJ Cruiser wheels on mine with some Goodyear MTR's on them. The truck already has a 3" lift on it, so I'll probably go w/ 31's to keep good clearance.

The FJ Cruiser wheels are still in high demand right now, so I'm not sold on those just yet due to price. I put Nissan Titan wheels on my Isuzu P'Up and those worked out great. That may be an option here, too.

I still have no idea what to do on the bumper, though.

You're going to hate me when I tell you I sold it for $2500. I'm 6'2", so the P'Up was a little cramped when I drove it more than 30 minutes. It was an amazing truck, though. It was a one owner with only 80k original miles on it when I bought it. Always garage kept.

Stock suspension, Titan wheels, Mazda 626 bucket seats, Line-X bedliner and that was about it. I used it to carry my dirt bike to MX practices, but after long trips I would start to cramp up after practice due to the limited space in the cab. That's why I bought an extended cab truck this time.

Thanks for the compliments on the Jeep project. I have some "helpers" coming in town this weekend and we're going to try to get both axles four linked in the Jeep. Should be a fun weekend.

I also pulled the head on the B2600. The head gasket was pretty much nonexistent. I don't see how it ever ran, which it didn't when I picked it up. I also had to put a new radiator in it.

I'm sorry for diluting this thread so badly.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it either when I saw it on the lot. I paid more for it than book value, but for $2100, it was still a steal. I wish I had kept it now. It did help to buy my 6.0L and 6L90 transmission for my Jeep project, though.

My latest far fetched idea is to forgo the bumper finding efforts for now and build this truck into a pre-runner by fabbing up some wide a-arms in the front and hooking up a set of large shock hoops for some gas coilovers. Then, I could throw a Ford 9" in the rear to line things back up again. At that point, I could practice my sheet metal work to widen out the front and rear fenders to look like a mini trophy truck. I can't think of why that would be useful, but it sure would be cool.

if you're going to cut up that 4x4 bed,SELL IT,since we Mazda guys are vultures when it comes to 4x4 sheetmetal and they are worth about as much as gold. Get a 2wd bed and hack that up!

People will hunt you down and hurt you if you cut up a 4x4 bed, lol.
