besides there are ways to open doors in the event of solenoid failure. Go find the old and I mean old hot rod guys and ask them how they got in before the days of electric pops.
[He is right about this] I shaved mine when I did the suicides on it, instead of relocating the handle forward cause I saw a truck here in town with the handles relocated to the front and I personally didn't like it so I had to shave. I bought an emergency release cable, just in case. OH- and to add to my post I just bought a parts truck today (8/11/2008) and it happens to have shaved doors with an emergency release button as well. Then again it is your ride, so do whatever you want to it.

jst use a HONDA gas door lever and cable and mount it somewhere, that way you can always get in, even if the battery is dead.

I like handles.
I saw this on a truck that was for sale (hopefully the guy doesn't mind me sharing it)
It's a option instead of shaving, move it and redesign it in a flush frenched style.
Just an idea

Yeah I've thought many times about doing it to my doors.
Doesn't look too hard to make either, probably about 20 min to make all the bits.
The other thing I thought about is the Nissan 350z handle, vertical with the notch in the body, haven't seen that yet on another vehicle.

Just a thought.... French in the stock handles so that they are flush with the body but funtional. KYLE....you here? That would be your turn to cue in and do it. LOL For those of you who don't know Kyle does some pretty amazing work right out of little ol J-Town (Joplin).
Anyways my daily will have them but my dream tuck will not.
