over heated 89 chevy with 454?

what are the chances the head is cracked or blown head gasket and not just blown coolant hose? the lower radiator hose broke but i dont know if thats why it overheated.

it could be a couple of thing... did you drive it while it was overheated or get is shut down quick?? Always wanna check the hoses first then i would check the thermastat to make sure it didnt stick shut.

I been converting my cars to evans coolant.
no pressure, nothing to blow...
My friends with the ford diesels go traveling
and swear by the stuff.
They tell me fords are know for hot spotting the heads

I've got a strong running 454 that I'd sell yea

well we didnt get much info but come on guys wish the guy some luck and hope its just the lower hose instead of tryin to sell him stuff

i cant afford to replace the motor. i dont have a place to put the truck to work on it either.
