Its not all that fast. My best numbers are 75.8 mph on motor at 5200rpm, and 87.9 on N2O at 6300 rpm. Those are GPS #'s
Not to bad for a mildy built BBF with a 150 hp nitrous shot.
check the movies on this one
has a turbine in it
Nice!!! Love them turbine boats. Never seen one in person, but have seen lots of pics and video's of them.
Here is a link to an album set up when my boat made Texashotboats.com's "Boat of the Month" this past febuary.
Water is the only thing i would be afraid of going fast on, usually when you see boats eat shit they ROYALLY eat shit... then you have to worry about drowning.
But thats just me
I'm with you on that one..I have a 550hp jet boat and it rarely goes very fast.
water gets hard as concrete at speed and without a canopy jou dont have to worry bout drowning cause you wont notice or feel a thing after the first hit
just like falling off a tall building its not the fall that kills you it the SUDDEN STOP at the end... and i agree when a boat eats it on the water they do a mighty right damn good job of it , my uncle used to race jet boats and drag cars he was a speed freak, so when he got out of it went into sport fishing he still thought he had to have the fastet boat out there, his damn fishing boat was a 23 ft bass cat with dual 25 gallon tanks and a 200hp suzuki bored out to a 250 and high speed prop, damn boat would do 110 across the water with maybe a foot of the adtual boat touhing the water when he would fly by you...
The fastest I have been on the water was 130.2 mph. It was fun, but it scared the living crap out of me. The worst wreck I have ever seen (not at the races) was a guy in a brand new boat hit a roller at about 70 mph, and the whole boat just broke into pieces. The guy went scimming across the water for about 50 yards from the crash. He broke 2 ribs, and his ankle. You have to know your boat, and how its gonna react in different types of water. Also invest in a good life vest. Life line is by far the best you can get. But they are pricey.
