minitruckers in college?

It basically comes down to a personal decision. If you find a fraternity with guys in it you really get along with, and want to have something to do, then by all means go for it. Don't just do it because it seems like the popular thing to do at your school.

As far as going to car shows. Going to school and being in a fraternity will only affect your ability to go to shows by: 1)Not having any money (i.e. why my truck hasn't been touched in more than a few years) 2)If your fraternity has an event or dinner or something planned that is mandatory to attend. I would hope most fraternities would be understanding and let you go to shows and be involved in your life's passion.

I was never big on paying to have friends. Look into the costs of joining a group of friends. What does it really get you in the end? Like most people have said, you meet a lot of good guys and some you'd rather not hang with anyways. Can't you just do that by living life and make friends the old fashion way. I chose not to join a fraternity because my whole goal was to focus on getting an education and getting the F$#K out of school, so I could make some real money(Never happened, but I love my job). Hey do what you want, but I personally feel it's a lame waste of cash. Invest it in something worthwhile instead.

see like some of you said time is a problem. im already freinds with most all of the guys and theyd really like me to join. I know now even if i pledge this fall theres 2 shows i have to miss which i have been lookin foreward too all year and not sure its a sacrafice for me to take. id hope if i dont pledge id still stay freinds and be able to come chill at the house but if not then i guess i should know that i made the right decision if thats the kind of guys they will be ya know?

get a job , a mortgage and some pets, then we'll see how you feel about making some real life decisions on a regular basis.

I would say it's the equivalent to deciding what type of cereal you want for breakfast, either way it's just gunna be shit in the end.

Fuck Frats Phil...we've talked about it bro...but then again 99% of the frat boys around here are fuckin douche bags and the make people change. i had a lotta friends in high school that didnt associate with me in college becuase i wouldnt join a frat. so if there so fucking cool why would they do that kinda shit to people that fought for and with em? fuck frats 4 LIFE!~

i agree with alot that has been said. id never join a frat because the ones ive met at school are toole bags

The idea of my post, was that Deciding what frat you join, or if you don't, isn't a fucking life changing choice.There's a lot more to life than the 4 years after high school...

fuck a frat..i go to LSU, senior in politcal science, about to start law school..i joined one when i was a freshman..i met a few, and i say a few, friends that i am really close to..but the rest of em..fuck em..they are a bunch of lying, stealing, cheap mother fuckers and dont understand the whole concept whatsoever..i left that shit 3 years ago and they begged me to come back..fuck that shit..i have a wayyy better time without them..
