I saw the wheel in person. Next time Im down there I will try and get pictures of it for you guys.... if they havent thrown it away. but I think they sent it back...

The wheel was milled too thin. They were mounting a new line of Nitto tire (high load rating for towing 5th wheels) and NOT a low profile tire. The back bead blew off and hit the guy mounting the tire. If you can imagine drawing a line from the top left of your forehead, diagonally down under you nose, across your lip, to the bottom right of your chin... thats where it hit him and gashed him open...

It was not operator error. It was machinist error. Too many people not knowing what they are doing nowadays...

This is why I like this site, this is the info needed to make people realize cuttin' corners is not always good. Not saying the incident at hand was a short cut by any means. Just goes to show how much experience it takes to get these wheels mechanically right, from start to finish.

I wonder if it wasn't one of the wheels Brasky got done. He's buddies with all those guys, and he was getting used rims and having someone mill them.
