does mine have skyhooks Brian?
Oh and if the humming still doesn't go away do what i do...... turn the radio up
yes, yours has the skyhooks option. and if you dont know what you are doing, DO NOT MODIFY THEM!!!!!!!!! i am the only 1 i know that knows the true way to do them correctly! lilj kind of knows, as i just instructed him in another post, but he has yet to do it!!!!! oh yea lilj, i know i am smart , but my name is brian, not BRAIN ol buddy ol pal. j/k, you getting the rotors yet?
oh yea raymond, i told you your humming was the torque converter in the trans. i had it solved when i had it with the 3 kicker 10L7's and 3 jl audio 500/1's. all i heard was, well shit i still cant hear!
i get alot of bass from my 4x6 in the dash... and 6 1/2 in the rear doors too. almost got a ticket for it. lol
sorry brain im mean brian.. no havent gotten around to getting the rotors yet just been lazy thats all..
to each his own my friend!!!
Well a couple of weeks ago i had to dish out $400 bucks for my lifted 89 GMC because everytime i came to a stop and the took off again i would feel a thunk almost like my rear axcel was loose but it wasn't. took it to a shop and they said since i lifted my truck 7" the drive shaft was suppose to be extended about 2" and because it wasn't too much play in the drive line and cause exsessive wear onn my u-joints and carrier bearing. i wonder if you lower a truck do you have to shorten the drive shaft to fix the pinion angle?
what happens actually is the shaft when lifted slides out of the trans coupling, and when lowered it goes in some. if the pinion angle is off too bad, yes it will wear the u-joints and carrier. i just changed the ones on your truck like 2 weeks before you got it so i could drive it here from new orleans. your carrier bearing is also raised 2 inches as well. like i told you before, your humming is the TORQUE CONVERTER!!!! trust me, i traced it down when i had it. later, brian
oh im not still bugging you about the humming noise..... believe it of not i kinda like it. Makes it sound distinct. anyways i was just saying for the guy that wrote this post.
