well here is one for you justin, if you are going to pearl a white paint job is it better to put the pearl in the base or in the clear, cause i have heard both ways but was just curious thining of something for my s-10, and another one what are your guys opinion on marble paint jobs my gf wants to paint her blazer in a purple and do it two tone and is likeing the look of the marbalized paint for the top part of the two tone, she wants to do it in a dark purple marble if possible, is it as hard as they say or is it pretty easy to do...

Your best bet is spray the white then spray the pearl in a midcoat before you clear it. You'll get the best results that way.

Marble can be a total pain in the ass.. But I used some Planet Color Marblizer and it was very user friendly compaired to the old HOK Marblizer. It's all about the time you have to play with it. HOK only have you a second or 2 before it was too dry to deal with. PLanet Colors version gives you a bigger window to play with it.

I did silver marblizer over a black base and I thought it was pretty easy BUT it was just a small area on my tank.

yea man i would recomend what shady 1 said and find a nice midcoat pearl to use over your base. there are alot of different midcoat pearls and you will get a way better look. but If you were gunna do it the other way i have always done it in the clear but got to be very careful or you will tiger stripe the shit out of it.

Marble IMO isnt that hard to do just gotta do small areas at a time. i have done whole cars before its time consumin but its pretty hard to mess it up since it doesnt have any certain way it suppose to look. i would suggest two tonein it with maybe a marble between the two tone to break it up though. its easier and wont get tired of it as fast.

pearl as a midcoat will give you the best looking results but if you put it in the clear and run it you will see the run forever even if you sand it out and buff it

cool deal i never thought about a mid coat, just didnt want it to make the white look muddy if to much was applied to it. as for my girls blazer she said she liked your idea justin, she just wants a 2 tone purple and thinks it would look neat with a break like that, ihave a design drawn out for it tht is mostly triabl design all the way down and i think it will look pretty cool...
so next question how much does the marbelizer usually cost material wise...
