first off your right seth in reality i would not use the control arms over again but hey kyle thought it should work (smart huh) and after they did not but i ajusted them after kyle did them and now they work great and there actually alot of thread left that i can pull out if i need the camber is perfect when raised up anyways its funny how kyle talks about my truck when he was the one at reso trying to tell every one he did those control arms a LOL its funny what people will do to be popular. just keep reaching for the sky lol

I'm not judging, just stating an opinion. I wouldnt feel safe driving on 2-3 threads. I don't doubt they work or that they have been adjusted.

I built the uppers on the Taco with only camber adjust. The castor is adjusted on the lower arms. If you bolt the "dog-bone" to the mount with no shims and make tabs that line up with them, it will keep the geometry "clean."

I know you are probably not going to use a heim joint for an upper ball joint, but it is another idea.

As for using heims on the dog bones in "single shear" like TwistedMinis is talking about, BE CAREFUL. Single shear mounts are prone to failure. If you don't use a high grade bolt and address it properly, you can really screw stuff up. If you don't know what "single shear" is, look it up. You need to know.

i too am looking at parts to build my control arms. didnt like the thought of using heims at first, but i think im warming up to the idea. i just have a personal thing against them that i need to get over.

the multi adjuster links look cool, but how well would that allen bolt hold an alignment. id think just hitting a rut would be enough to knock it out.

i think im gonna mimick seths design, but with tabs since i have no access to having a shaft machined. plus, less stress is placed on the bolt. which is what max is talking about "single shear"

also,
id like to run a screw in ball joint at least on the uppers for looks. what would be the best way of matching one to my isuzu spindle?

should i find one with a slightly larger taper and ream my spindle to match the taper of the screw in ball joint?

You can get a balljoint reamer and modify your spindle to fit.
