MR. HARRYBALLS could you please tell me how the "MINITRUCKIN WALMART" started out since I'm sure you know the story and Jason so well. Please let me hear it.
yeah and I no idea who HARRYBALLS is but I could guess either he doesn't have a mini at all or he is rollin around in an S10 with a Thorbecke Brothers 5 link and sportin some "I'm Fuckin Low" stickers.

I have the 3 link. excellent link system! but i wish i would have gotten the 4 link so i wouldnt receive so much shit for bolt on parts..
OK so you've done 5 links, I've done 5 links. And you said none of the ones you did made the box sag, none of the ones I;ve done made the box sag either. This other guy is saying 'Box in the rails or the box will sag'. He is the only person I've ever heard say that, so to come on SSM and say that you need to box in your rails if you have a 5 link it total horseshit. For someone who didnt know any better, thats kind of discouraging, since people buy that kit for ease of install. You do not have to box the frame, I was setting the record straight. I also listed alot of pros and cons of the 5 link that are actually relevant but I guess you missed that part. Maybe he cut too much of the box out? maybe he had too many crossmembers out at once and his frame twisted? Who knows, but 1 guy out all all the people whove installed 5 links saying that its gonna make your box sag is BS and sounds like installer error to me. Explain to me how the hell a 5 link makes your box sag and maybe I'll change my opinion.
OOOOhhhh everyone wants to get get personal with harryballs lol.
you must be MRS. THORBECKE
Lets just say most shops dont start out with access to a laser...I dont know any of those guys and im not bashing them personally. Its just rediculous how everyone thinks its the best thing that happened to the "industry". Im not the only only one who feels this way believe me lol.
No i dont have a mini(used to) im into laying out cars. Thats my thing and this is my personal opinion.
Anyone else want to join the INDIANA THORBECKE COCK JOCKEY TEAM????
look buddy! maybe you should read what I wrote again.. All i said was maybe you should say things a little better.. Dont harass the man because he ran into a different problem! maybe its actually a legit problem I DONT FUCKING KNOW! do you need me to re-write that again! im not gonna tell him hes wrong, right... because i dont know i didnt do his truck.. maybe there is a problem with the notch, like i said there maybe but i doubt it. whos knows.. but like i said you not a god in intalling these things! but i do understand and appreciate the pros and the cons because they were very acurate. And i do understand your reasoning in trying to clear it up for new guys..
ok guys settle down were talking about the SD 5 link not to fight about it. be nice.....
I have the suicide doors 5 link and I love it. Pretty soft ride, super pivot gives me good sides and it'll be able to handle anything I throw at it no problem. I'd recomend it to anyone that's interested.
ight how bout i surrender to your amazing ablitities to install link systems illblazer... i admit your bettter than me haha feel better now?
anyways.... my frame flexes where it bends up right around the gastank.... i thought it couldve been becasue when my truck lays out, so much weight is taken off the back that it sags alittle.it has nothing to do with the notch. and because the 5 link lifts from the rear of the frame, it would have more leverage on the frame making it more flexable. when you lift it up the bed goes back to normal because its got weight pushing up from the rear and from the front. iuno its kinda hard to explain but it made sence to me and a couple others... this is why i suggested boxing the frame.... but if you think i did somthing wrong...let me kno... im going to fix it....

No one said I had amazing link system install abilities except you and your buddy. I was just saying to come on here and tell someone they need to box in there frame if they get the 5 link seems a little bit extreme. I havent heard of your problem happening to anyone else, and if you would have maybe given some reasoning for your post instead of 'box your frame or it will make your box sag' then maybe it would have been a little easier to understand. What you are saying does make sense to a certain extent, I've just never heard of that being a common problem with these setups.

You can squeeze 2 5's and 2 compressors under there. Just takes a bit of creativity with the tank mounts. we just cut the legs off of one of the tanks and rewelded them to get the ports where we needed. Then used so angle to connect the 2 tanks together and to the crossmember.
I've also seen them done with 2 slim 5s running front to rear of the truck.
hey man see thats all I was trying to say to you.. Weve both installed many of these link systems, and it just so happens that somebody has ran into a different problem. it doesnt means somebody messed up because we havent ran into those problems.. ya know? no bad blood tho. later peoples. im glad this arguement is half way settled, now I can head on over to the other one haha..
