Awww minitruck walmart........real bad for the economy and they did not start off like everyone else did.....Anyhow I THINK the sd 5 link is overkill and looks like the inside of a swiss watch...there is shit running everywhere. But if you have an s10 i think you should ride their jock also and buy it with the im fuckin low stickers

Comparing SD to Aim is a joke.

who the fuck is SSD???

why would i put a 5-link on my mazda frame?? hmmm.... interesting concept though... i'll consider that next time.

I've bought parts from SD... why the price is right. I've had SD cups in my sonoma, and I had bought other stuff from SD for the noma.

I've bought a bunch of stuff from SD for the mazda too, not necessarily their 'SD made' parts, but valves and what not... why cause the price is right, the company stands behind their shit.

With that said i've also bought stuff from other shops lots from Grant Kustoms, seriously insane, etc...

haha wtf? thats a new one. like seriously..how does the 5 link make your box sag..maybe you fucked up the notch?

anyways...Having done 4 SD 3/5 link installs...CONS: Short bars cause the axle to travel at a pretty extreme arc throughout motion. Pinion angle stays within a good working range, but the arc will force the driveshaft into the carrier bearing (ex cab) or transmission (reg cab). Solution..spend the couple hundred bucks and shorten your driveshaft 1/2" to 3/4"

Shock Mounts and Plastic Tank Trucks... if you have a truck with a plastic gas tank, you will have clearance problems between the shock and gas tank. Even with a TON of trial and error postitioning the shock crossmember, the ones we have done still touched the tank at max lift. Its very minimal..but it is a problem. SOLUTION: metal tank out of an older model S10.

The short arc of the bars also tends to pull the wheel towards the front of the wheelwell when the truck is layed out. Nothing major, but it isnt ideal.

PROS; The SD 5 link is the best S10 KIT on the market. Quality components, good lift and ride quality, relatively easy install, and most of the negatives can be avoided with a bit of work. It blows the KP 6 link out of the water in overall looks, as well as functionality (KP link gets sick pinion angle change, and the front lower bar ends drag).

If you are stuck on getting a kit, the SD 5 link is the way to go. But keep in mind, IF you have the fab skills, you can do a fuel cell and a custom 4 link with the bags on the lowers for about the same total cost.

what an ass! give the kid a break man hes just telling you what he got out of it.. jesus man. people like you piss me off.. your not a sd 5link installing god! chill out. maybe hes ran into a problem you havent. but on a positive note. sd sells real quality stuff and there 5 link and 3 link are badass.. but you have to decide whether you want to do it the old way and build a 4 link or bolt on one of his.. I have the 3 link. excellent link system! but i wish i would have gotten the 4 link so i wouldnt receive so much shit for bolt on parts..

Is the possibilty not there that the notch could have been fucked up??

I've seen a lot of shit installs and notch's gone wrong, i'd say its a possibility.

Oh well.... what can ya do right.

I see a lot of saggy box's out there, and they aren't running the 5-link... and they aren't s10's.

i mean im not gonna sit here and argue with yall but i know this kid and i know his truck is done right.. yes the possiblity is there that the notch might be off... but there is other ways to say shit other than jumping somebodys shit.. especially coming across as a damn expert on the damn things.. ive intalled just as many as he has and i havent ran into that problem either but im not gonna sit here and tell him that its wrong, who knows shit happens maybe he ran into another problem we havent. but dont tell the kid hes wrong just because you havent had that problem.. come on now.

All you people out there who are talking shit about Suicide Doors are freaking crazy!!! Their parts are the highest of quality out there!!!! I have known Jason as a friend (not just a business man) for about 5 years now and he is the coolest dude out there and is an awesome fabricator as is his brother Adam. Their technical support is also awesome. Their 3links, 4links, and 5 links are the best kits out there and also the strongest. Compare a suicide doors link bar to a FBI link bar or any other link bar. they are about 2 to 3 times bigger and stronger then any of this other junk out there. I have installed a suicide doors link kit on every truck i have ever bagged which is about 15 this year (and I'm not even a shop just a dude with a pole barn.) I have never had 1 complaint. I'm not saying other companies dont make good stuff but Jason builds the best!!

Just my two cents!!!!!!!!!
