I think some of it is a bit excessive. You don't need all of your links to be 2" DOM 1/4" wall. If you're putting your bags on them, then sure 2x2 1/4" wall is good, but if you've got bag over axle, none of your links need to be that big. Maybe its just me. But I built my own links and used 1.5" 1/8" wall tube.
I do have to say SD is a good company though. I ordered the stuff to build my link setup from them.
i dont see any FBI links breaking. G-W still sells 1" bars and they are just fine. use a square bottom for a bag on the bar and you're fine with the upper still being 1". Same way with pete and jakes.
the small ones might be ok, i dont really know but i've always lived by saying, "the bigger the better"
SD is a great company, I've never talked to anybody there that hasn't treated me with respect and coutesy. Ok yea they sell some bolt on stuff, but I see that as keeping people who don't know what they are doing from killing themselves or someone else on the road. They also sell the stuff you need to build your own set ups for the guys that hate bolt on. It's easy to order bracketry or tubing that some people don't have the tools at home to bend or laser cut themselves. You can't blame them for being smart enough to market to a group that makes up a majority of the market i.e. s10 owners and beginners. That's what a business is all about in the end, making a paycheck to pay your bills.

my shits gettin 1 in uppper bars and there will be a small block on them and they WILL NOT BREAK. you dont need massive 4 links unless your building a big block hopper.
:edit: i have put on a suicide doors 3 link w/ bag over axle, it got decent lift and rode good i just didnt think the bars were going to be so short.
the SD guys are cool as hell and i know they make badass parts(some a lil excessive in thickness), i dealt w/ jason 4 years ago when he first started out.
i deal w/ gravity werx just cuz there 45 min from me and i get every thing i need within 3 days.

haha take my post how you want it...but im just helping out. my trucks definatly not hacked up and my notch is fine. and i didnt run into any problems with my install... i was just suggesting to box the frame rails up and youll be more satisfied with the setup...other than that...the 5 link is nice as shit
if i got a chance to do it again tho... i would spend alittle extra time to do a backhalf...

How did they not start out like everyone else?? I've known Jason for about 6+ years, and I know he started out like everyone else.. By himself, in his garage/shop.. He then got his brother to help him out, and the rest is history. So what if he sucks newbies into this hobby with S-10's.. Is that really affecting you that much? When every other dumbass in this hobby looks and acts like a fucking drunk idiot punk ass kid retard, according to the general public! Be mad at them. They are representing all of us at shows, and making the newbs act the same way, completing the viscious cycle. I say marketing to newbs on S-10Forum is pure fucking genius! I'd do it if I ran a business. SD.com may have grown to huge success in the last 4 years, but that still doesn't change the fact that they make good stuff, have great service, and are very good businessmen.
