I somewhat agree with you but I also think if they are showing pictures of what they have done already it's obvious no matter what someone says they are going to do it on their own. So constructive criticism is good but just blatantly saying "that looks like shit" "hack" "I threw up in my mouth" will not help with the problem.

you know i have been doing this stuff for a long time and i can say i agree in a sense.. you know the expectations of the now generation have been pushed so far with stock floor bds and independant rear ends and all the custom fabs.. i started back in 95 and everyone knows that stactic drops arent even worth the lowering because someone is just going to be like you should have did this or that.. truth is i commend the guys that are trying to live and learn.. i can tell in my town when a guy is getting over their head with "i just pulled my truck in so and so's garage and i am going to bd it and bag it to the doors!" anyways so and so and that person has never done this before however if the truck is paid off and junk anyways i say go for it man.. people have to live and learn however,,,, i also AGREE if you are living and learning you absolutely should NOT show what you did at a car show.. its one thing to do a jacked up scary back half that you wouldnt drive across town and just say well i know what i did wrong and how to fix it i will clean this shit up and sale it but its another to sport that shit at itb amongst trucks that people idolize..basically what i am sayin is if your going to hack something up to live and learn great! i did it and i learn from mistakes.. but dont show that shit at a show it gives you and everyone a bad name and I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN WHOEVER POSTED THIS... IF YOUR TALKING ABOUT THAT S10 god i seen it and thought now i know what my grandpa was talking about when he says cobbled up mess and then i seen him driving it around the show!!! i was running to grab my girlfriend before something broke or fell off and he went out of control

make a point to the guys that come on here and say "don't listen to those guys" or "are you an engineer"
Actually, I am an engineer. A mechanical engineer at that. Even I couldn't imagine where to even begin some of the truly wild builds out there. Building sick show trucks/cars is more of a perfect amalgamation of art, engineering, and tons of talent than anything. Hats off to the guys that can do it on a daily basis and make it look easy.

i suck so bad im not even on the list. if i was id prolly be a type 8. but the good news is im not an idiot thats gunna jump to sfbd'n a truck and not know what the hell im doin. i plan not touching a truck until i learn all the correct/right ways to do things. if it bolts on, i can handle it. until i get some experience under my belt,no welding/fabbing for me. but i do know what crap work looks like and will not hesitate to point it out!
