I don't think so, it would just pull it lose though its travel.

Wow, this thread grew since last I looked. The The K772 and the K727 both have threads. I've installed both of them. Once the ball joint is bolted on, it presses the boot against the spindle and that will hold it on some, plus you should get a spiral retaining ring that will sqeeze it against the balljoint to keep out the dust

Ohh, and if clearance permits, you can space up the boot with big washers between the boot and the spindle to create more pressure.

if they fit a s10 spindle where can i get the ball joint and the sleeve?

the s10 has a different taper, so it wont fit perfect. you can ream the spindle for it though....

Does anyone know of a place where you can buy balljoints and sleeves that will fit an s10 taper? And does anyone know what a s10 has for taper?

im guessing the 2"/ft taper.
