Problems with rag top...

MINE SUCKED SO BAD -- I DECIDED TO TAKE MY ROOF OFF -- THERE NOT WORTH THE MONEY -- BUT LOOK SUPER SWEET WHEN THEY ARE OPEN !!!

MINE SUCKED TOO, PAIN IN THE ASS TO OPEN AND CLOSE AND THE HANDLE THEY GIVE YOU IS HELD ON BY ALLEN BOLTSI CARRYED A ALLEN WRENCH TO LOCK IT...WASTE OF MONEY!

lol, i use an allen wrench too.... kinda kills the "finished" look, but that handle that comes with it is a joke...

YOUR TELLING ME, I CANT BELIEVE I PAID EXTRA FOR THAT HANDLE I ENDED UP THROWING IN THE TRASH

do what i did......my lock rounded off and never locked right anyway so i glued a nickel to the inside of the frame so that the lock hook would have something to cinch down on. never once had another problem out of it.

i cant say anything bad about my streetbeat ragtop other than the locking system being designed by retarded monkeys. Never once leaked though!

Got a pic of where you put the nickel? I need some way to lock my rag top. That's the only complaint that I really have with it. Thanks man.

yep yep good ole sliding rags I have had mine for bout 2 years on the galant. It leaks the latch suck. Especially when you are doing 70 on interstate and the latch gives and the fucker slams open and scares the shit outta you. I also had a problem with one of the tensioners on the front corners. It striped and now I am gonna have to make a new paice and weld it to the frame.

For people that remember the truck "Catch 22" he had a different rag in his.....does anyone remember the name of that company? i'll go look through my collection and if i find it i'll post the name

Britax is the name, but i looked, and i didn't find a website so maybe some one else can have better luck than i did

I just fixed mine. It just took some playing with to make it all work.

hey i called them fuck nuts too from street beat and they told me 6-8 weeks thats crap but anyway i got ont from a guy i know and when i first put it in i was mad because it would only open halfway too but i figured out how to open it all the way ..you got to push up on the racks that hold the material up and it slides together and will open all the way as for my lock it works really good just I.M me if you dont understand...just thought i would help
