werd, i hate to bitch online since i havent called them on it to get any resolution on the problems, but as much as i love it open it sucks ass to "slide" and forget about the locking mechanism, that shit is just retarded...

i would do it again, but not on a daily driver...

425? Ha! I paid over 600 for my 40x40 and it's worth maybe $40 total rip off.... for that much $ you'd think the quality would be better.. The worst thing about mine was I waited 13 weeks for it and got a different story from the A holes every time I called about it.... Considering it was supposed to take 4-6 weeks... Streetbeat are all assmonkeys. Someone else needs to start building them for $250 just to put a hurt on them.. It wouldn't take more than $40 to build one......

What size op is it? If it's like a 35" x 20" then ya it's only gonna open halfway just cause of the design. And what kind of problem are you having with the latch? (and ya the latches are junk).

I have the 7 footer in my astro, it is tuff to slide and the locks suck but it looks so cool! Be careful one problem i ran into was the white plastic sliders in the rais . The screw backs out and you can loose them I got lucky and it fell in the van.

i don't have any problems with mine, course i've had it for about 4 years now or so. wanting to get a bigger one for the stang, cause 36x24 isn't quite big enough. I had problems with the plastic sliders, on one side but i purchased a bag of ten for 5 bucks. mine cost me $350 about back in tha day.

I had/have the same problems with mine that I installed in my Fullsizy chevy ext. cab. As Crash said the screws in the white sliders back out of mine too but i caught it in time and re-tightened them. I also installed some lock-tite in them so they don't do it again. And as far as them not sliding all the way back. Mine done that at first until I figured out that there is a guide arm on each side that if I pushed up on, it would let the top slide back farther. You might look into that. And as far as the locks...JUNK. Mine worked great until I installed my headliner and the strip around the headliner. If you take the front part apart you will see a round piece of metal in there with a stud sticking up. I'm going to tap another hole in it and move the stud and I think that will fix my lock problem.
