I totally agree w/ TiMe_1. The scene might be growin but its growin in the worng direction, too many people who dont know how to act right or people that got into the scene bcuz the net or they saw a friends video showin all the partying & think its kewl. Most of the people today dont have any idea of the history of the scene (ya know the people that think old school is 5 yrs ago)...... So to answer your question YES its losing popularityw/ the Old School guys but GAINING popularity w/ the "clowns".......... Popularity may be the down fall of the scene.

it could be losing popularity with real enthusiasts, but gaining with the posers. you can tell who is really into it and who is on the bandwagon. i agree with Brasky that everyone is a master fabricator. the same thing is going on with hot rods, there are a bunch of idiots building shitboxes but have no clue what "traditional" means. so i understand the situation.

the fact the minitruckin used to be so underground was what really made it cool... going mainstream is not a good thing for the scene look what happened to choppers

Thats a good point with the choppers. That got out of hand quick. I'd hate to see minitrucks on TV. Then we would have even more dumbasses in the scene. Because we all know minitrucks are cheaper than a one off chopper...
