People are bitches, that's just how it is. I bought my truck bagged and there's no way I'd claim I did it, cause I'd be embarrased.

What I don't understand is that everyone builds these vehicles, then gets bent out of shape when the person that bought it takes credit for what is done. If its so special, then why sell it? I stand by the opinion that once its sold, you lose all rights to the vehicle PERIOD. What is the new owner suppossed to do? After they buy this vehicle they should keep a list of credits with them at all time so when someone stops them in a parking lot or talks to them at a show and make sure no one is getting robbed for what they did? I know plenty of vehicles that have changed hands 4 or 5 times and the new owner has no idea who has done what, nor should they care...

Shortly after i sold my truck the guy got it featured in Tailgate. He said he finished the interior, re bagged it and finished chroming the motor. I was so pissed when I read it I called him...lol..Never heard back from him, but I left him a voice mail telling him what I thought. And i have to agree with Lukedogg, I think this mini truck "scene" has gotten out of hand. I'm with you guys on the "to each his own", but the problem I have is that people act like such F uckin idiots that they're making our hotel room rates go thru the roof. $180 a night for THW rooms? JEEZ! Some people can't handle those prices. I'm all for having a good time and cutting up, but when you start screwing up property, pulling fire alams etc that s hit isn't cool because now it's starting to effect hotel room prices. Maybe I'm getting old too, but I don't remember doing retarded shit like throwing coke machines in pools etc. It also effects us hangin out in the hotel parking lots because they feel they have to tell us to go in early so we won't f uck s hit up. Flame me if you want, bu I wish everyone would act like human beings at these things cause it's starting to effect us in bad ways.

Um.. Yeah, so this thread started as a "take credit for your own shit" type thread and has now matured into a "I'm not in the mini-truckin' scene" and "WTF with Hotel Prices" thread.. Not bad. Anyways, I agree that some people shouldn't take credit for work they didn't do but it will continue to happen so there's no reason to get all worked up about it. And for someone that drives a mini-truck to say that he is not in the "mini-truck scene" is a bit weird to me but whatever. If it helps you sleep at night to say that you are only a Mini-Trucker half the time, then that's cool. And last but not least, it's not just Texas Heat Wave that is getting effect from people at hotel rooms, it's everywhere! I don't think people should act like idiots and tear the rooms up either, that is pretty fuckin' retarded. Maybe that's the hotel's way of keeping those people out, they probably figure it's the cheap bastards that are tearing up the rooms. So if they hike up prices, you won't show up!

what i hate is when you help someone with something and then when they are asked if they did it they mention your name nowhere, it really pisses me off when they are standing right in front of your fucking face and take full credit!

But where do you draw the line? I mean should I thank every single person that helps me do anything? "I would like to thank Cletus for helping me hold the tape measure when I built my truck" or "Bill for cutting that one bag mount for me", you know what I'm saying. Sometimes I think that people also want credit for the littlest things. If you didn't bag the entire truck or BD the entire truck I don't think you should be trying to claim that you did it just because you helped out. I help my friends out when I can just because they are my friends not because I want credit everytime someone asks them if they did the work themselves.

I bought the toytoa that is in my proflie from travis at solow customs. He told me that MT wanted to shoot the truck for the magazine after he had finished the interior. I told him that when I finish the truck will the other mods that I am going to do, that he will definatly get his credit for being the builder of the truck. I dont claim anything that I have'nt build 100%. I mean if you really break everyones truck down, not everything on show trucks were built by there owners. Just my 2 cents.
