If you let it get to you thats when people start pointing fingers. Just shake it off and go build your ride and dont worry about theirs. MT Originally posted by MoneyMike2

Mini-truckin' scene is getting out of hand...so many pricks are making our scene...i see it at every show...Kinda starts resembling the import scene...I hate the direction we're headed...maybe i'm just getting old...
this is why its stupid to make a "scene" or a "lifestyle" because no matter what there will be the few people that ruin it and than it starts going to shit......thats why i never claimed to be apart of the "Mini Truckin Lyf3styl3" because sooner than later it will all come crashing down and all that will be left is people pointing fingers at each other.......
Yeah Travis your right, I dont need to let it get to me, but i just hate seeing all the drama I do see here and at the shows...but o'well...each their own...peace

you get used to it, ive had it happen on pretty much every truck Ive built except my blazer. Its really funny when you run into someone and they talk about a truck they built and you say "oh I know what your talking about....it came to me a few months later to be fixed"
And for the "scene & lifestyle" it will not come crashing MoneyMike2, its not a fad. However it is gonna look rediculous if people dont learn the words "proportion", "style" and "function". I for one am sick of seeing the race to lay body on the largest wheels.....
I think that we need certain things to push us to the next level. I am not saying that big wheels look good on everything but it gets people to come up with new creative ideas. Anyway you break it down its about being lower, having bigger wheels, cooler paint, more body mods, and any of a thousand different things than the next guy. It brings in the competitive nature which drives the "sport" of building customs. True, but when your rims are so damn big that they stick through the hood/bed sides and you have to raise your sheet metal to cover them....you loose style, and it looks more like a futuristic matchbox car that the gay kids bought. Then when you cannot untuck them extremely large wheels, you lost all driveability and function. And whats the point of having a custom vehicle, if you cannot do what it is made for...driving!

I take credit for stuff I didnt build all the time. For example, half the trucks on SSM were my idea and I personally bagged the other half. And the Golden Gate Bridge? Thats mine. And the as-seen-on-TV Ultimate Chopper vegetable slicer was also designed, engineered, and hand built by me.
Shrug it off. NBFD.

I totally agree with the wheels sticking thru the hood thing, that shit is getting out of hand lol.
Sometimes i feel like some people are nolonger thinking for themselves by wanting to out do the latest rim size. Its like they are following a trend but hey that shit comes and goes. I feel like its a trend inside the lifestyle, that trend may fade but as far as minitrucking as a whole going away theres no way.
The drama, its the same you cant do anything without some kind of drama. I mean there is drama in bands, modeling, everyday job sites, hotrodding, 4 wheeling, marriages. When there is more than 2 people involved in something then feelings are going to get majorly mixed about things and arguments are going to happen cause no 3 people are the same.

I almost forgot what this post was about..Umm..oh yeah.. I just bought a project truck myself and I'll be the first and last person to say that J.P. built everything on my truck that you see right now.But come very soon there will be a makeover. On the tech sheet it will still have his name in big writing for what he done.He did an awesome job and he will get all the credit. If shops go under then thats a good thing??people take credit for what shops do all the time.
